The next person to mention the age of players is getting banned. 10 are 30 or over, 18 are younger. End of. It means nothing.
And our goal for this season remains the same goal at the start of the season – to REMAIN in this league. However we achieve it, by finishing top or 4th from bottom, the goal was to survive. So far we are achieving our aim.Not good enough lol
Last season, we were deemed to be better than Blackburn because we finished above them. Nobody said we only won the league because they were worse than us.
This season the teams below us are worse than us as opposed to us being better.
It’s the half empty half full scenario and Wiganers are great at twisting it to suit their moaning.
We haven’t played well in the last few ganes but we haven’t lost any either. We would be comfortably safe now if our away form was any good.
Despite that though, we still haven’t been in the bottom 3 yet and unless the sides below us all turn the form book on its head massively then we’re safe. If we win 2 games they need to win 4. Can’t see it happening.
Some will see that as us being good enough to survive, some will see it as sides being worse than us. Ultimately it’s the exact same thing.

Totally agree he gives 100% whenever he plays. However that’s what he and every other player should be doing anyway.
Face it though although he is the fans sweetheart if he plays one half he is knackered so all but useless to the side in the second half.
We have found this season has been a huge step up and if we stay up is he good enough for next season. If it hadn’t been for injuries would he have even made the bench this season?
It’s not moaning, it’s facing reality.
Have other Championship clubs been queuing up to sign him? and we’ve made a deal with him to fend them off?He is so knackered in the second half that he still regularly out runs the majority of the side, so what does that say about them?
No he probably wouldn’t have made the bench that often had we kept a fully fit squad but we have had injuries and we need to ensure that we have a SQUAD of players to deal with injuries. If you let every player go that isn’t in the top 18 then you won’t go very far.
One of the best trainers at the club, still perhaps the fittest member of the squad even at 34, a model pro who gives 100% in everything he does and never lets us down when we call on him.
I can see why he would be of no use around the place and someone the younger lads wouldn’t learn anything from.
