Personally, fully fit squad…
Jones
James Kipre Olsson Fox
Morsy Evans
Pilkington Powell Jacobs
ClarkeFor all the good Whelan did. The commercial department and marketing of the club never really progressed beyond lower league level. Outside of TV income and JJB/DW sponsorship, other forms of commercial income, have been pretty much non-existent. Even when in the Premier League. For some time we’ve needed someone to come in and operate us as a business. Look at the club from top bottom and maximise our profile and facilities.
It must be really tough to market us though in a town full of plastic mancs and scousers. Practically every kids ticket is a loss leader.
Once our fate is sealed one way or another I think he will give them some game time.
I don’t know personally what made him come out with a remark like that but I’d guess at been left on the bench as our 3rd choice forward behind 2 forwards that couldn’t hit the West Stand with a beach ball.Depending which way the winds blowing that could be pretty tough

Interesting piece on Newsnow at the moment. An interview with Grigg who admits he did everything he could to make the move happen. So should the club have turned 4 million down and end up having a shithousing player disrupting the club till summer?
Link?
He may start to feature a little now seeing as we are majorly lightweight in that position now. We almost have as many left backs.
He’s gone, it was a good deal, let’s move on.
I predict a 1 0 win tomorrow.
Is he a left back?
Dad’s Army FC!I think he is yes. Still just the 2 lads up top though
Paul Cook: “The club desperately wanted to keep Will but this is an offer we simply couldn’t refuse.
“This comes with so much emotional attachment because Will is so popular with our supporters and is somebody who has given everyone associated with the club so many great moments during, not just my time as the club’s manager, but throughout his three-and-a-half years at Wigan Athletic.
“We all wish Will the very best for the future.”
What Whelan did to Bruce is exactly what’s happening now. We’re losing money and need to sell a Grigg or Powell every couple of years to pay the bills.Powell wasn’t sold last year because Sharpe was chairman then, and he’s a Latics fan. The new owners and chairman aren’t fans, so they’ll use their heads – not their hearts to make decisions.
They said all along they wouldn’t be throwing money at it, and would be investing in youth, and we’re sending out our best young players to get first team experience – which is better than sitting on the bench at Wigan.
Spot on as always pal
Don’t understand the 12/1?
It still hasn’t been confirmed anywhere which is a bit oddRelegation odds if you want to put a contingency plan in place to soften the blow! ;)[/quote]
I don’t bet against my own team. I wish I could because I’d be rich now, but it’s almost like cheating on my wife. In fact I’d feel more dirty backing against us TBH.
Agree about Powell as well. IF we lose him for nothing then that is a big f*** up especially if we get relegated.
