Certainley in this country you are, there is no one doubting that, but down under??
Well the Aussie commentator on Fox Sports has just referred to us as “the famous Wigan Warriors”

Not sure Perkins as the legs to do the running he will need to do.
Personally I would go with 3 CBs and bring Bruce in especially as Dan Burn likes to get forward. He actually played as a defensive midfielder for Bury against us.
Other option is Fulton I guess.
Blackburn on the other hand leak goals, but have an attacking threat we can’t match. On our day we can stick seven past a team, but most days we’re struggling to get the one. Blackburn always have the firepower to get a couple of goals per game.Yet we have a better goals per game ratio than they do but we have failed to score in 6 to their 5.
Hardly eclipsing us are they?
Put a few decent balls into the box early on but after that was quite poor.
The whole side was though TBF.

So we’ve lost our last 2. We were unbeaten in about 12 before that. Yes we should be well clear at the top but we aren’t. What we still have however is our fate in our own hands. We may be behind now but with the games in hand the pressure is still firmly on the other sides. Shrewsbury have been playing well above themselves this season and yet could STILL find themselves behind us. When we have caught the games back up, lets see where we are.
I don’t know what it is about Wiganers. If we don’t win 4-0 we get booed off. If we lose we get booed off. Never seem to be happy. That goes for the rugby lot as well.
We aren’t going to win every game this season but I still have complete faith that we will go up as Champions. Our last 2 displays are clearly due to the City game so once that is out the way we will be sorted.
FFS. Every side has a bad patch. We are still in 2nd and if we win our game(s) in hand will be top and clear of 3rd.
My personal opinion is that players have an eye on playing Monday and weren’t really too arsed. Get that out the way and we’ll be reet.

Always find it pretty sad really when the first thing Latics fans or rugby fans for that matter, think about first when there is a big moment for their club is what the other side think about it. We play two different sports FFS!!!
Lets hope Latics shock THE WORLD again by beating City and then Wigan rugby take back their Challenge Cup and League titles for a record 20th and 22nd time.
If that all happens in front of 20 billion people or 2 cats and a dog won’t really bother me one little bit.
