Has anyone checked with Barnsley as to which club they think should go down?
4 more boring 1-0 wins will do for me.
At least Scotland get to celebrate their 0-0 draw with England for years to come.
I should hope you do finish above us, especially if you’re after promotion finally. Doesn’t mean you will go up and we don’t though. Now that would be quite funny
Always good to sign a 2 time league winner. Gives you the experience you need at vital times. I just hope that small time joke of a club we signed him from haven’t ruined him.
I’ll be getting a ST and should hopefully be there against PNE
Won the league twice at this level has Max. Would be a good signing, but I think he probably deserves a move to a big club.
Yes, because that’s the law when exiting administration.
Football is a business and as such operates on a buy now pay later method for everything from kit to transfer fees. It is only a debt if you don’t pay it when you’re meant to.
The difference between the two clubs is that when the invoice came into WAFC prior to administration it was paid in full. We had no debts despite the losses because our owners agreed a budget and we were within that. Once they changed their minds it left us with debts HOWEVER had we not been forced into administration we could have found ways to pay them through player sales etc but would have had to seriously cut our cloth. Putting us into admin was the biggest issue because it cut the lifeline. (Granted it was better than their actual plan)
BWFC didn’t pay anyone anything. Their income was spent on wages and they just racked up debt after debt.
To simplify it somewhat…….
We did the monthly shop on a credit card. When the statement came in, we cleared it in full. Yes we needed money from the owners but that was agreed (bit like paying your wifes card)
Bolton did the monthly shop on a credit card and when the statement came in didn’t bother to make the minimum payment and then went out and did the monthly shop again.
Transfers are a little like buying from Littlewoods. Sign a player for £3m with 3 easy payments of £1m. Again….all payments were met when required.
The issue we had was that our budget included a money from the owners. Once that went we were in trouble. I would guess that 90% of clubs are ran the same way.
Don’t think away fans will be allowed in most cases sadly. Should be able to get in the pubs though.
Some of the young lads will get another go. Lang and Robinson for sure.
We need a ferret in the middle all action someone to chase everything and helping the defence out.
What is David Perkins doing these days?
Is he?
Behind Lang, Dodoo and any other signings. Will end up 5th choice IMO.
Big shame for Barnsley
I know I’ll never persuade people different.
Hope you and the family are well horc
They simply applied the rules. The appeal was heard by an independant panel so both sides gave evidence.
Because the rules are made by the member clubs, the sale of a club is never going to be too difficult to complete and too many changes to the process will never get made. That is why we wanted help from the government. – Funny how they suddenly found time to discuss things when the ESL thing kicked off.
During the process of the sale they were great IMO. There are people to throw blame at but I don’t believe too much can be thrown at them aside from not looking too deep into Choi and his mate Kenny.
Brilliant to see Gregor Rioch celebrating with the team. Deserves a knighthood that fella.
