Andrew Taylor-Sinclair gone now. Shame it wasn’t Andrew Taylor.
At least I can say I saw Aaron Taylor-Sinclair’s only appearance for us!
He’s left as well :P
I think that makes Taylor, Cowie, Huws as the only ones left from the signings last summer.Well the club have said that last seasons signings weren’t good enough……………
I don’t sing GSTQ but I still respect it as I do any anthem of any Country.

Plenty haven’t done much in their time at Wigan, generally because they didn’t get played due to a succession of managers being inept.
Do you really believe that a succession of managers working day-in day-out have chosen not to pick players because they cannot see what you obviously can?
Yes I genuinely think he does.
The problem we have Donny is that we didn’t expect to be in this league when we signed any of these players. In the PL we would put a relegation clause into contracts which meant wages were reduced should we go down. I doubt that was put in in the last two years.
That means we are now stuck with players who are on far too much for this division and we have to get shut as and when we can whether we want too or not.
WRLFC aren’t actually based at the stadium anymore. Their business operates from Central Park at Pemberton so that would answer that.
Interesting though that when the 2005-2010 business rates were calculated (based on 2003 income), there wasn’t a peep from the Laftics in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 when they received premiership income and paid 3rd division rates.hmmm that was said on wigan today by yourself
anyhoo you or me for instance don’t know what is in that tenancy agreement but didn’t Eric Pollard said and I quote ” It is beneficial for WRLFC that Wigan Athletic stay in the Premier League ” I wonder what that meant Mutts
When we were in the PL our income was higher and we had more money to spend on the upkeep of the ground that WRLFC pay nothing towards.
As Latics disposable income lowers, so does the stadium work unless WRLFC foot some of the bill (they did in 2014) which obv means they too have less disposable income.
The rent agreement as I remember is that a percentage of the income from home matches is paid to the holding company.
From a WRLFC point of view, a few weeks away in a row and the odd game moved elsewhere (2 in 15 years) is nothing compared to getting a new pitch every year, hospitality venues we can flog and the facilities we have for the price we pay.
Tavernier no longer the golden boy then? Two pens both missed IIRC.
We desperately need another Andy Liddell type penalty taker. No fear, never missed.
Sounds like a duffer to me!Do you ever say anything positive?
I just love all this positivity about the club. If we have a great season and go up then next season we will be watching Championship football for £199 and the club will be somewhat shooting it’self in the foot but let’s not give them any credit for trying to boost sales coz we were shoite last season and they do not deserve any support at all. Forget the fact that season ticket prices have been the lowest in the Prem and kept there for most of the time we stayed there and forget the 2 cup finals as it appears that only 2 relegations matter to many on here. Those who want to keep knocking the club just remember that most of us have been Latics fans for years and have seen far more success than failure and will be there next season. I couldn’t give a flying f..k how many frigging green dots there are coz I cant wait for the season to start.Correct sir. When the number of green dots starts to relate to league points I’ll start to give a shit how many there are. We could play on Little Lane with 10 speccys for all I care as long as we win.
Watch out Lostock don’t have an opinion and watch out even more if that opinion is anti Bobby’s style of play or about his coaching ability.
Anyway Horc and I are going to Alty to see the lads. You’d best get used to that style of play as you’ll be seeing it under Caldwell.
I think the ‘last time he played a full season’ is the most important bitAh yes, but was he out injured, loaned to a league two side or did his loan with the league one side end?
He could have been on a 6 month loan and scored say 10 goals.
Tavernier has gained promotion twice from this division in the last 2 seasons. We must keep him.
Correct. We want players used to this level so he is exactly what we want.
Last time Davies played a full season in League One, he scored 23 goals. If he can keep fit, I think he’ll be a decent signing.
Sounds like League One could be his level, which some fans need to realise is where we’ll ply our trade next year.
I thoroughly agree because at the end of the day he has a limit of what he can pay and also pay out in wages. Would be a bit more of a level playing field if all clubs had to operate under the same financial constraints as our club. And if 15 or so years ago we had had to operate under the same constraints as some clubs, we probably wouldn’t have got out of League One.
