Must admit you should start building from the back then you are guaranteed 1 of 2 results a draw or a win earlier in the season people said we were strong at the back , they must be watching a different game than me as i thought we have been poor in that position all season , I`ve every confidence we`ll get it sorted as in this league at the moment everyone is beating each other , top six on the cards for me but we need to turn it around and soon .IN UWE WE TRUST (wers me wine gone) :)

1) 5 is not many
2) None of those played in Champions League final. They played in European Cup finals.
3) None of then “have gone on” to play in either guise of that competition; they played in it before they played for Wigan, whereas Valencia played for Wigan first. Which was my point.

I think the current Earl is on the board at Saints (or was) and whoever was Earl in 1989 was at Wembley for the cup final and was presented to the players pre-match before handing the cup over at the end.
Clare Balding referenced it in 2012 before our cup game on the beeb.

My thoughts. We need really to turn that 7 game unbeaten run we had into a winning run.
A point here and a point there won’t do any favours whatsoever.
