That’s the problem zeb. Nothing to do with our tactics or formation, our final ball/shot is dreadful. We need several chances before we even register a meaningful effort. They had 4, scored 2, had 1 disallowed and 1 forced a great save onto the bar.
Garner was the only one who forced a meaningful save and should be starting IMO
He seemed to be able to finish the few chances he got
Provided we continue with our average of 0.88 goals a game we will average 40 goals. That’s the same as the last time we were relegated and more than the first time. It’s 3 less than our relegation in 1993 against much better opposition. Bad yes. Worst ever? Subject to opinion.
Optimum word being provided, jesus christ egg does your own eyes not tell this is painful to watch?
Yes it is painful to watch as was the Joyce era. IMO the Joyce era was worse, whilst the Mackay era was more frustrating as we actually had a good side on paper. Our lack of bite reminds me of that season. Hammer a side and lose 2 and 3 nil to 2 and 3 shots

Cook did say he was back in training but like stu says, that and being fit to play are two different things. Personally I think we’ll be swapping him for Rhodes, who has scored a panful more at this level than Moore has if you want to find a positive, and will probably mean we don’t play hoof ball anymore for those that aren’t a fan.
I’m not content with my lot, but I am realistic.
All sports fans are fickle but wiganers take it to another level
Yeah been 2nd bottom watching a side set up to play the Barcelona possession way makes you fickle when it doesn’t come off…
I suppose your happy clapping non complaining permanent Joker smile face was happy with that yesterday??
ffs I need what your on
You can’t say Wiganers aren’t fickle. Moan at everything. The mudhutter fanzine had a cartoon in it years ago that was spot on.
If we get Rhodes it’s a few years too late.
Might be, but I think he would be decent between now & the rest of the season. He could do a job for us these next few months.
Playing the way we are, I think he would as well. Leave him as far forward as possible with Windass, Dowell and AN Other behind him.
Exactly roy. We’re getting into the right areas but then as we’ve said for a few weeks the final ball or the final shot are dreadful.
Their only 4 shots of the game showed the differences in the two sides.
Same old story. Our final third is non existant
With the right attitude signing a young kid trying to prove himself could be just the right thing. Look at Tammy Abraham at Villa last season. Not saying this lads as good as Abraham but a bit unfair to dismiss him straightaway.

I have marked you up to 9865 as you have to be a least five away from your nearest rival.
Scandalous
I’ve always believed that TBH yick. We didn’t need him at the time so was strange.

Agree. He was excellent, and although the smallest on the field wasn’t afraid to get stuck in.
