The words get and in spring to mind. Just goin off his record the fella looks the business, lets hope he can replicate his Estudiantes form for us.
I know those of the dark-side and of a more cynical persuasion will expect one of or both Hugo and Charles to go, but if we can keep em, and add one or two here and there, (RB especially) we could have a proper team for next season.
I’ve seen enough false dawns at this club to err on the side of caution. Still, it’s promising to see us spending a bit of cash. And we are still in June yet!
As for Hugo and/or N’zogbia possibly going, that’s realism not cynicm
Aye you’re right, although it’s all context, that’s all I was alluding to. To sell them for the good of the club is all well and good, and realistic. It is a bit cynical to suggest that just because this fella has signed, then the other two will be sold.
They most definitely will be sold at some stage, but maybe not for the reason that we have to recouperate the cash shelled out for Boselli.
Then again, it’s Whelan, so scrap all that… ;)
I would keep Pearce in the set up. I wouldn’t mind Pearce having a go myself.
I work with half a dozen Man City supporters who would disagree with you and say that under no circumstance should Stuart Pearce be allowed anywhere near the England manager’s job.
Re stuart pearce – for me he has some plus points going for him:
1) he’s English
2) he’s passionate
3) he’s patrioticwe had that with keegan & it was a flop & I aint sure Pearce has got much more to offer than that
In all fairness to Pearce, he did a good job (still does I think9 with the U21’s got them to the final of the Euro’s n all that (got beat by the Germans 4-0 :roll: ).
He’s been in the set up for a good few years, would have picked up some good stuff from Capello who undoubtedly still is a good manager, he just made an epic balls up of this World Cup
I don’t know really, we are really lacking in good English Managers, I wouldn’t touch Redknapp, so that leaves Hodgson, and he doesn’t fill me with great confidence.
Holloway anyone… ;)
look at the relative success Klinsman had with a dire German team as opposed to the flop he has been at club level so far).
Aye, but Klinnsmann had a certain Joachim Löw as his assistant, its all pretty well acknowledged in Germany that Klinsmann was just a face for the media, whilst much of the work (tactics etc) was done my Löw.
Don’t know about Beckham, it all seems a bit too daft for me. The point by Hoddle by Griff isn’t a bad one, although the media would be on his back from the start. I would keep Pearce in the set up. I wouldn’t mind Pearce having a go myself.

I think your accent could be a bit of a giveaway Mr Walker, you could always just get blind drunk before you go out and then you’ll blend in nicely. Nothing like a stereotype ;)
Spare a thought for me, who has to watch it in a pub surrounded by squareheads. I’d take Scotland everytime. Sunday is going to be orrible.
It was nearly three then, I didn’t think another team could make us look half decent, it seems that the French are determined to be considered the worst (and funniest) team at these finals.
Sacre bleus
I find drawing them little pictures helps them understand :):lol:
Excellent idea, will keep it in mind for future use.
whilst being tempted by live online updates of 2 world cup matches, an England v Australia one-dayer and Andy Murray’s opening Wimbledon game.And the Mrs is adamant that us Men can’t multi-task. I’ll get her to have a look at your post so she can see the error of her ways.
I think these first couple of rounds are always a bit sh1te. Should pick up from now as some teams will have to pull their fingers out in order to get through. I.E. Us, Italy, Spain. It’s sh1t or bust for some so maybe the quality that has been hiding in some parts will come out.
Plus teams like Portugal etc will feel far more comfortable having dished out a spanking.
Definitely not Mr Walker, he struck me as a very loyal supporter. ;)
I wonder if he was booing with the rest of them on Friday night…
Anybody who tells a Forest fan to politely go away when alluding to Frank Lampard being their favourite England player gets Kudos in my book.
My contribution –James
Johnson, Terry, Upson, A Cole
Barry, Lampard
Milner, Gerrard, J Cole
RooneyBang on for me that Mr Gray . Think Lennon would do a great job coming on after an hour or so, if not all going to plan.
You would seriously have SWP in your starting XI? He has been one of the worst performers of all!
James;
Johnson, Terry, Dawson, A. Cole;
Milner, Gerrard, Barry, J. Cole;
Heskey, Defoe.
I’d have that team and I agree SWP has been very bad for England.
Regardless of how sh1te he’s been, we can’t drop Rooney. If he plays well on Wednesday or even half decent we’ll win. As much as I love Heskey, the last two games he’s been clueless (along with the rest of the team admittedly).
SWP shouldn’t be in the team when Cole is on the bench. Shove Gerrard in the hole behind Rooney and lets see if he can dig us out of the one we find ourselves. * :D
I apoligise for the terrible, terrible pun
Vlad has just saved a penalty v Germany!Is it me or is he looking quite decent? He’ll do summat daft before the game is out.
Good save all the same.
Je ne comprends pas :?Tu comprends ce que je te dis?*
*might sound stupid to a person who actually can speak French
