Can’t say that about Bainsey though
He didn’t say anything about Bainesey though, or have I missed something :?
I agree though, Hart should be No.1, and out of the three going, has had by far the best season.
He should be our penalty taker though, he’s very good at dead ball situations.(Lampard’s) missed summat like his last three for England. For me, Rooney should be in charge of penalties.
Out of interest:
……………………….Hart……………………….
Johnson……….Terry………Ferdinand……..Cole (A)
Lennon………..Barry……….Lampard………Cole (J)
………………………Gerrard………………….
………………………Rooney………………….
I agree with Griff and Pelican, I said something similar on another thread. For me he’s leagues ahead of players like Carrick and Huddlestone.
We have too many similar players in midfield, Cole is different, loads of skill, bags of quality, and can find a goal or an assist from nowhere.
For me, we can’t really afford not to take him. Although looking back over past England England World Cup squads, I wouldn’t be suprised if he didn’t go.
Warriors fans throwing coins and spitting at the Leeds players after they scored the winning try too. :roll:Linesman even got hit with a plastic lunch box
Aye no doubt an empty plastic lunch box.

:lol:And arguably the finest. I always love the fella’s reaction afterwards. As if what he’s done is perfectly normal.
28 May 2010 at 1:31 pm in reply to: Transfer news, paper talk, who you want – get it all in here #34993I can’t see him going to Arsenal, they already have about 25 strikers, and they’ve just bought Chamakh and already have Van Persie. He’s not as good as them so why would Arsenal be interested.
In saying that, I reckon a swap deal involving Vela plus a few million would be a great deal for us.
Done n all, does this mean I can have a contract? :P
Recurring theme, but Palacios. Without question the best player that ever put on a Latics shirt.
Can’t understand the idea that Bullard was never replaced when we had this fella playing for us for a year.
If you look at his original post his did type ‘typo’s’.(More than one.)

You think that sentance makes sense, you have now edited this post so fair do’s. I’m not one to be pedantic usually, just thought I would join in this grammar set to. Nothing personal.
Sorry Edinburgh, reckon if we get through to the quarter finals we’ll have a good chance, just hope we steer clear of injuries to our big players and get a little bit of luck that seems to have deserted is in recent tournaments.
If you look at his original post his did type ‘typo’s’.(More than one.)It’s funny you being the self-appointed voice of grammar and then come out with a sentance as backward as that.
And on the flipside if were beating Germany in the quarter finals then Carrick would be ideal to bolster the midfield, make some tidy passes and play balls on the counter attack to Walcott/Lennon/Rooney etc.I agree in that J Cole offers much more of an offensive threat but, and although a was a friendly, Carrick did come on at half time vs Egypt in March and changed the game from 0-1 to 3-1. A combination of him and Walcott coming off the bench late on could cause some damage (in my opinion)
Id like to find room for J Cole in the 23 but im torn between him and Adam Johnson.
Good point, however you could always bring King on to sit in front of the back four and behind Barry, if were looking to close a game out. There are other players for me who warrant a place more than Carrick. I’d be more inclined to give Huddlestone the nod over Carrick, just going off their respective seasons and both are similar players.
I’d take Cole over Johnson, just because Cole has more experience and Johnson looks a bit lightweight. He is, however, undoubtedly a good player.
Like you said though, it’s just an opinion.
Yeah he’s up there with the best passers in the team…at passing it sideways. Fair play he’s a decent player, and yes he’s respected by all the big name manager’s that you mentioned but he’s still not better than the likes of Gerrard, Lampard and Barry, so he’s not going to start. My argument is that if were losing in a quarter final to a Germany or whatever he (Cole) could come on and find us a goal from somewhere, whearas in my humble opinion Carrick couldn’t. (Satchel face and Brandy face can do one) I like Fabio though.
Do they have TV’s in Thomas Gerrard these days, if were still in World Cup at the quarter final change might stick me head in at Presidential, is that even still open?
You’re right but if Barry is fit he starts anyway and so no need for Carrick to go, who offers nothing IMO. Even if Barry gets injured, Gerrard could play the holding role – not his best position but he’d be better than Carrick. Easy then, Cole goes.
I hope Fabio’s reading this. :!:
If Barry is going to be fit do we really need Carrick to go, as he is cack and then we could take Joe Cole instead who is miles better and can play most positions in the midfield. He’s also more likely to score a goal or contribute with an assist.
