i’d forgotten De Ridder actually still played for us! It shows a huge amount of childishness to just pick your mates instead of someone who would do a better job tho. A bit more ruthlessness is required i think. Stam was cack from the 1st minute, but it still took 80 mins and 3 positions for him to be taken off
just a thought on this crowd thing. What other activity is there such an importance placed on how many other folk were there.
Imagine telling yer mates that you went to the pictures or a gig or the theatre. They’d ask what it was like, not how many other people were in with you!

Do you know, i may have been heard to shout occasionally “just f@##kin run at ’em” when a big chasm opens up in midfield, and we play a pass 4 yards sideways!
