I (& I’m sure Paul Cook judging from some of the changes tonight) want to win at the weekend so why would I drop my top scorer?
If they’re messing around playing games already, holding off from showing Whelan some hard moola, then I hope he looks elsewhere for a buyer. Doesn’t bode well when they are playing games before the deal has been done. As I’ve said previously, the thought of us being controlled by a professional gambler doesn’t excite me, you can see why.Who’s to say that they’re playing any games though? I doubt the reports about Whelan having concerns have come from Whelan himself and are more likely to have come from people who claim to “know someone” when in reality they’ve heard it from someone who’s been thinking out loud & has no evidence to back it up
Why if you phone the club up to buy a match ticket in advance & don’t have them posted out do we get charged the same amount as someone who pays on the day? Kind of defeats the point of the club trying to get people to purchase in advance so that they know how many pies to buy in, programmes to print, coppers to pay for etc..
Not everyone will always have access to a printer to be able to use the online print at home option. Even the woman I spoke to on the phone admitted it didn’t make any sense

That wasn’t a foul from Dack on Byrne in the build up to their 2nd goal – if anything Byrne fouled Dack initially by blocking Dack’s run when he flicked the ball up, before the 2 of them got involved in a grappling match. They were both still grabbing at each other’s shirts & pulling before Dack was the stronger of the 2 & was able to push him loose
As a ref if both players are grappling with each other at the same time then just coz one might wind up on the deck doesn’t make it a foul against them. If one lets go first then fair enough but in this instance they were both fouling each other at the same time so you can’t give one & not the other. Unless like I said earlier you pull Byrne up for the initial blocking foul

All the main roads will be fine even if it snows so I’d imagine Blackburn won’t have an issue.
Clubs that do have issues are like ours with huge areas round the ground belonging to the club that get clogged up with snow & ice.

Didn’t the top club say that setting up the premier league was all about helping the England team & not about creaming off the majority of money coming into the game??

Yes he shouldn’t have been on the pitch but there were thousands of others on there also.
The only evidence is from Aguero that there was a spit or abuse & with all due respect he had to come out with some defence as to why he lashed out & then chased after this bloke so I wouldn’t count on his evidence as being reliable.
If the lad says he didn’t spit or say anything then the club can’t/shouldn’t punish him on the basis that Aguero says he did.

If the TV schedule for one of the remaining 2 quarter final fixtures is for a Friday game as a result of the international break & the authorities decide Latics will play on that date then the Wednesday league fixture will be called off
I think I read somewhere that it’s an International week and there won’t be a Monday tie because of that.That’s correct so we’re either the mid day Saturday, early afternoon Sunday or Friday neet. Definitely not Monday

Promotion in itself would be winning something whether we go up 1st or 2nd. Back in 2013 staying up wasn’t winning anything (except the big fat TV pay cheque) other than being able to claim that we weren’t one of the 3 worst sides in the division.
Mind you back then I said it didn’t need to be an either or decision & I still say that. So I’ll go with the same this time too!! :woohoo:
Our game will be the least attractive of the round for the broadcasters so it’ll be played in whatever slot traditionally gets the worst viewing figures.
I think Sunday’s are the biggest TV draw so I’d say either a 5.30pm/12.30pm Saturday kick off or Monday night againI watched it from home & was about an hour behind but I felt exactly the same even in my living room
As I was watching it after real time I hid all my phones & tablets to avoid being tipped off about the score by Latics or City mates & family. Felt like that episode of the Likely Lads.
I’ll admit beforehand that if i could have brought myself to do it, I’d have bet on City to win by 5 or 6-0
Like you I think my adrenalin got going, especially as I started to wind numerous City fans up on social media & it was 2 before I was able to nod off. Having to the get up at 6, yes I feel a tad drained!!
Hopefully the wurriors are looking for a new home in Australia after all it is the home of rugby league better than here just a 2 county minority sport more watch tiddly winks championships than rugby leagueIt’s only played in 2 states in Australia too
