Bolton to lose against Spurs on Wednesday and then they are going to the wire with QPR for the final relegation place.
I think we will draw with Blackburn on Saturday and relegate them and this will be enough for us to survive but I think Bolton will then collect 4 points from their last 2 games against West Brom and then Stoke so they will end up with 38 points with us but their goal difference will be that little worse that ours.
QPR to beat Stoke and have 37 points but have to go to City last game which they are going to get nothing from and Villa to beat Norwich to get 40 points.
So after that long winded answer, Wolves, Blackburn and QPR for the drop
Us to finish on only 38 points?I agree that is the safety figure but come on!
On current form it has to be 6 points from those last two games surely.
We will wrap up safety in style next monday especially after what i saw from Blackburn at Spurs yesterday-looked as if they have given up already.Bolton face a very tough game as Tottenham looked very very good today easily back to their best.
Blackburn didnt muster a shot in the game today and to be honest it should have been a lot more.If they are as bad as that today a week on monday the result there will be a fomality. They looked as if they have given up the fight already.
Tottenham looked very good today and they are up at Aspull wanderers on wednesday with a win there putting them within a point of Arseh@les mob for third spot.
Blackburn and QPR for me.Spus could have had four-jammy Blackburn!
The relegation picture could be a whole lot clearer tonight! :cheer:Was the compare a supporters club member?
She did a good job and kept it flowing-the band was excellent also.
Not so sure about those pies though :(You’re being optimistic by predicting that we will only win our next game and last game out of the coming 13, I would hate to see your pessimistic version although I assume it would be a zero points tally from here on in.
Swansea 3
Norwich 0 (really?)
WBA 1 (really?)
Liverpool 0
Stoke 1 (really?)
Chelsea 0
Man utd 0
Arsenal 0
Fulham 1
Newcastle 1 (really?)
Blackburn 1 (really?)
Wolves 3Our home games are the key, Swansea, West Brom, Stoke, Newcastle and Wolves are the ones that could potentially save us. Though I do think we will get bonus points from the Pool, Man U, Chelsea and Arse games.
I think we could grab something from Norwich, Fulham and not even be worried about the Wolves games.Get your tin hat ready matey! Your not allowed to be optimistic about wigan!
By the suffering we are actually a point better off after that today.
Feels like coming out of a very dark tunnel-a win next week and could the impossible happen?
Bloody Latics eh?
17 points from 10 games is unbelievable and i can see another 6 because i think we will win at Ewood park a week monday and i fear for Wolves after that with the form the team are in now.
10 points better off than i thought a few weeks back and an almighty large egg plastered all over my face.
:cheer:Far too much worrying about the other clubs rather than focusing on our three games.
Motor sport is dull full stop-cant understand the TV hours given over to it.
3-1 eh? If your so sure stick a grand on and at least you have a nice easy three grand nestegg to help you over the pain of relegation.
The barcodes are in for an almighty shock if they think they will just roll up and roll us over on saturday.I can see us gaining at least a draw on saturday -we have turned the corner at home now!
Also remember Bolton, Blackburn and QPR all have tough away games this weekend so why all the negativity?
Blackburn could be as good as down by the time we play them a week on monday and im sure we will turn them over at Ewood park that night regardless.
Then its Wolves at home surely the pick of the last day games-how the other relegation threatened clubs must envy that.
The hard work was done against Utd and Arsenal-bit more to do but we will stay up-i agree with the bookies stick the money on if you dare!Id rather it came down to a win against Wolves than Man city or Chelsea both away as Blackburn and QPR have.
To say i was gutted by yesterdays result is a complete understatement.I wake up this morning slightly less gutted and now i feel that we still have a brilliant chance of staying up and boy would i have taken our current position just two short weeks back.
Three defeats in 11 is fantastic form and we always lose at Dulham anyway with their drab 1920s ground and their under 12s size pitch!
We have 2 home games one against already doomed Wolves and an away game that is probably as winnable as it has ever been since we came to the Premier in 2005.
Newcastle are on a brilliant run granted but runs always come to an end and they will be expected to roll us over next saturday – also bear in mind our home record against the top sides is not that bad this season.
We ARE staying up and that coming from me of all people after all my darkside rants this season has to be a positive. It’s that team we might FINALLY get to play next season! I’m sure this stat was mentioned on the BBC website yesterday.
We have played them – I was on the special train when we went there(well not exactly there-there) we battered them and only an inspired performance by the England goal keeper stopped us getting a result.
I remember that battered old train very well and yes it did take about 6 1/2 hours to get there and about the same to get back ( i have been to New York faster!)
I think every idiot in town was on it and i seem to remember a welcoming party from the saints at the other end that ran away after giving it the big un(copyright D DYER).
The lights didnt work on the way back it was like a ghost train and i dont remember seeing any guards either. Both Blackburn and QPR look like they have got a lot to do now.
QPRs run in is awful cant see much above 4 points for them and i can only see a further 4 for Blackburn.
36 is the magic number! You’re being optimistic by predicting that we will only win our next game and last game out of the coming 13, I would hate to see your pessimistic version although I assume it would be a zero points tally from here on in.

I expect to beat Swansea as i think they are going to hit the skids a bit now and thewy look a bit soft on their travels.
Norwich though have been awesome at home,West Brom are bang in form and we havent beaten the non footballers of Sjoke city yet in the PL at home have we?
Newcastle are top six and look very strong this year and we have never won at Ewood park either-jinx ground.
I hope your right because i would hate to see us relegated but the table doent lie and our form has been dreadful this season.
Another encampment in the away teams half and again 2 points dropped.Feeble defending against a team that looked to have one eye on the beach and the prediction i made looks optimistic now.
That said a fine performance today and plenty of effort but no killerpunch…..AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i predicted 5 points and we have come in with 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
incredible and typical bloody latics again.
Looking good for 40 although i reckon 36 is enough given the horrendous run ins QPR and Blackburn have.
Lets wrap it up at Dulham sorry Fulham on saturday!
About time we nailed the jinx at craven cottage!Time to bump this, what do we all think now?I’m going to stick with my remaining predictions, got the first 2 the wrong way round, but still 3 points that weren’t expected, so I’m on track for my total.
I think 39 points see’s us safe, in fact I think the win at Blackburn will see us safe, and I’ll still stand by my prediction a couple of weeks ago that Villa will go down, it is more than feasible that they will draw a couple and lose three, and that could well see them gone!!
goodpost With you on the Villa theory they are in the mix without a doubt especially as they have got to play Bolton.
Hope it doesnt go to the last two games though -cant cope with that again after last year.
Lets hope the rawverrrrrs game is meaningless like the Hull one was a couple of years back. -
