Wish we had him at the moment and i never thought i would have said that a few months back.
ES2 near Granny grunt and the linesman baiter if anyone wants a chat.
Ps only people in this area will know who i mean!we cant score and we cannot defend. We will pass until we lose the ball and I am afraid being realistic we will lose by 4 or even 5.My heart says get up for it but I have done that to many times and I am now expecting a hammering as I am sure will happen.
I hope I am wrong as I hate the murderers (FACT) but lets be honest.
Agree with you mate but i admire the optimists on here.
I cant see anything but a drubbing but the league is so poor that we probably still wont hit the bottom three this weekend.
Lets hope for a miracle!Latics v Liverpool – 1 point
Bolton v Latics – 3 points
Latics v Aston Villa – 3 points
Latics v Burnley – 3 points
Man City v Latics
Fulham v Latics – 1 point
Latics v Portsmouth – 3 points
Latics v Arsenal – 1 point
West Ham v Latics – 3 points
Latics v Hull – 3 points
Chelsea v Latics21 points there. 46 points well safe.
If only we didnt have to play the games eh?
None of the away games look winnable to me and the home matches also look very very omnious now in light of recent form.
I was at saturdays game and Latics played a very average PL side who shut them out with great ease.It was probably the easiest three points they have won all season.
Its no use looking at the fixtures and saying well win that game and that because at the moment this team doesnt look capable of winning full stop!
The reality of this situation needs to kick in with Roberto and company quickly and i mean bloody quickly or we will be playing our last premier league game against Chelsea on May 9th.Interesting butcould be a major financial problem if we fall into the lower divisions.
Just watched it and it was a 50/50 ball both of them went into.
Shawcross’s reaction says it all but it is a dreadful accident and i hope the young lad can play again-a fantastic player.27 February 2010 at 1:06 am in reply to: our thoughts should be with this club in financial turmoil #24407The game is rotten to the core at this level an almighty bubble that has now burst.Very sad that it has happened to a small club with passionate supporters who have always travelled in big numbers.I remember them in old division 4 in the late 70’s and the huge numbers they brought back then.
I hope they sort this out but i fear the worst. :(I would certainly miss a league that is obsessed with Champions league qualification and relegation battles.I would also miss the disregard shown to cup competions and the 12 clubs who fight relegation each year to the detriment of everything else i.e europe, cups.
It would be terrible to have more games to watch and away trips to places like Preston,Sheffield,Leeds etc.How awful would it be to have to compete in the cups seriously and watching players who are hungry and motivated?
Dont want any of that thank you? :shock:Played Fulham in the snow november 1996.Game was played despite a huge fall in the morning and martinez scored the goal in a 1-1 draw-they brought a fair old mob of boys if i remember rightly.
Dont been to be anal but i was at the opening of the Orwell and it was about september 1984 deffo June croft and Stuart Hall did the honours.
My first RL game was when i tagged along after a night out for the 1984 Challenge cup final versus Widnes and saw the ‘family supporters’ of our (in) famous Rugby league club dismantle London Euston station and the surrounding streets upon their arrival. The following year they greeted Arsenal supporters travelling to an away game by patting their heads with their knuckles.
I seem to also remember them taking a very large mob of casuals over to Salford for a game later that same year. Not been since i dont like the game but it still goes on however our local media seem to disregard this completely painting the stereotypical image of fat jolly types who hail from Ince,Scholes,Chorley and Leyland.
Warrington though is a nasty narrow minded town in my view and the behavour you mention doesnt surprise me.
Hope they catch these thugs.Moses looks like a player that have missed this season skilful and lightening quick! He almost scored on wednesday and was only on the pitch 10 minutes.
Manuel has to play him tomorrow surely? Why oh why pay £2.5 million for possibly the most highly rated striker outside the PL then leave him on the bench until 10 minutes before the end?
He came on and almost scored with one of his first touches and looked the liveliest player on the pitch all evening. The sad thing was that again we were very fortunate at the end to come away with that point and again i have never seen as many mistakes from a top flight Latics team as i have with this one.
The constantly give the ball away, drop stupid airborne balls that end up in touch, pass silly balls around at the back and in midfield that put us in trouble, give crazy corners away near the end of games(our weakest aspect),attempt stupid acrobatic shots when asimple cutting pass is on. i could go on and on!
That is theteam we have today and you have the audacity to question the fact as to why the crowd booed at the end.
The performances at the moment are dreadful and we will get slaughtered if we play like that
on sunday.Just seen the interview on SKY he looks chuffed????? – :?:
