Brilliant that he is a Wiganer and let’s hope we see more of the development lads getting chances in the team as his performance was superb yesterday and he gave 100%.

The team has struggled against worse teams than this so it has to be positive even though the standard of football was dreadful at times.Bong ,McLean ,Maguire and Chow all stood out today and how good does it feel to finally get that home win jinx off our backs?
we are still going down but at least we have a bit of pride back and Chows performance is a clear message to get some of our kids into the first team.
        congratulations gary indeed!

Prediction for today is very easy as it has been all season.
Usual huff and puff ,loads of corners and fluffed chances and then poor defending will see us undone with the only goal of the game as another poor team sits back and easily defends their slender lead against a team with no fight or desire .
another home defeat and relegation to league one and chants of ” we’re SH/t and were sick of it ” ring round ES2 as the tannoy belts out ‘ do I love you’ (??????)for the 100000000th time.
the good thing is we only have one more home game after this to close down the worst ever season since we entered the football league in 1978.
Sorry for the sarcastic tone but the anger is starting to kick on the destruction of a great club in little over 12 months and a realisation that even worse days lie ahead.

I agree we don’t deserve to stay up and they both do so I have accepted our relegation which given our atrocious home firm will happen on Saturday regardless.

just a bunch of bullies and cowards, remember that BBC documentary when 30 of them attacked a lone Portsmouth fan returning to his car.It wasn’t hard it was just cowardly bullying like when they attacked innocent supporters in our first season at our new ground and I feel sorry for their ordinary supporters who have to live with these pr/cks week in week out.
Hope everyone got away safely from this god forsaken place.

let’s see what they do at Millwall first although not very optimistic as I’m sure we haven’t won there for years if ever.
that said I am prepared for league 1 and all that brings but for now I just want a bit of pride back and they really need to break that awful home duck before the season is out.

So because we have changed our manager the same bunch of players will immediately transform themselves into great ones overnight????
I admire your (misguided) optimism but face it we are relegated albeit not mathematically I grant you but to expect this dire bunch to suddenly hit blistering form overnight is beyond comic book expectations!
I’m sorry but it isn’t going to happen and pointless pontificating about the ridiculous notion that it might, face it ,it isn’t that bad when you do.

What a transformation that was on Friday. The football was 100% better, far more attempts, far more possession and a genuine desire to win. It was great to see Penannt and Bongo run the length of the field to celebrate the first goal with the latics fan.

By all means continue with all the negativity if you want, but leave others to hang on with a shred of hope thank you very much.It may be long shot but I’m not going to throw the towel in until we are at the mathematical impossible stage.

Let’s hope the manager and players feel like me and not like you and the other cup half empty brigade, that jumped on here when we went 1-0 down on Friday, but didn’t come straight back on when we equalised.[/quote]

Like you I would be delighted if we suddenly string four straight wins and stay up but it isn’t going to happen and how empty can a cup be when you haven’t seen a home win for seven f***ing months???
face it just face it !!!

Odds on that happening will be very long –
                        My prediction

                        Millwall 1 point
                        Brighton 1 point
                        Wolves 0 points
                        Brentford 0 points

No chance of a miracle now we are down End of!

So it’s onwards and upwards is it with a rookie chairman’and a rookie manger with a combined age of just 55???
the whole thing smacks of a club not just in turmoil but in very serious decline and I seriously will not be surprised if we are not staring at another relegation in 12 months time and beyond that is too scary to comprehend.
where does it all end is anybody’s guess but these decisions defy logic and he certainly will be taking us back to were he found us in double quick time based on the events of the previous days.
I hope I’m very very wrong!

The Fulham home game sticks out for me as we had been unbeaten at home all October and had just beaten Derby away.
A last minute equaliser changed the course of this season and it would be interesting to see what would have happened if we had won this game.

Let’s hope Fulham away is the next turning point then.

In to the third season of the year. We only win in the summer, we only win in the summer. At home that is. Can we have a springtime home victory or will we have to wait till August almost 12 months that will be. Can never ever remember anything as disgraceful as this record.

It’s awful and I can’t see it ending until the club sorts out the mess in the summer.
Big rebuild job needed and I just want the rot to stop because league 2 isn’t without probality.
