Came across well there and the place seems to have had a bit of a revamp as well as the pitch – can only hope can’t we?
The hardest league of the four look at Oldham rutted in here since 1997!!!
Not going to be easy but the pre season hope is with me today believe it not and I’m off to renew the old ST todayif I am a wanker for having an opinion then so be it – is this board a corporate website or somewhere for long standing supporters ( 37 years) like myself to put their opinion on regardless of whether other posters agree or not?
that’s called debateRenewed my ticket at YOUR Club yesterday but I will say no more on this subject.
Let’s see eh?Questions for lightsiders
Would you have picked Caldwell for manager?
Why are we selling our best players when we have raised several million on transfers and are still in receipt of parachute money?
Why are people so deluded ?
Does anyone think seriously that people will come to watch a team in a season that has 1993 -94 ( kenny swain era) written all over it?
with any player worth a few being sold off and replaced with inferior ones or youth players then we will be back in non league before you know it !
another relegation battle beckons in my opinion – rookies running the club and has beens and kids in the squad!?
But no it’s ” how great it is to go to burton aren’t we lucky?”
FFS we used to play on the same pitch as chelsea and arsenal and the legacy should be championship at least.
With little or no investment in the squad we are going nowhere and its a fecking disgrace but with so much apathy from our supporters the ridiculous policies will continue and we will struggle!42 years and counting and it will be a bloody long count!
Blunderland will sack advocate very quickly and bring in fat man at the first mass walkout .Questions for MWD
How long before the first mass sulk at the stadium
Of crybabies ?
How long before dick gets sacked?
how long since Blunderland last won a major trophy?1200 looks about right as we filled half of that stand as well .
Not sure why Blunderland fans keep coming on here to slag our club off as we are now two divisions apart although we may be playing each other again next year.
yrsterday reminded me of the old days stood on a terrace and it was good.Chavvy little scrotes chucking flares about , beyond embarrassment!!!!!!
Where the f have these clowns sprung from? Here we go again Ffs
Been here before haven’t we ?Always some little toe rag acting up these days, they need filling in old Skool style
Was he one of ours or theirs?not getting carried away as our record at buying strikers is beyond abysmal. Seem to remember de Lort ,rierra , holt and bosselli came in with glorious track records then failed to deliver.
At least he is young and must be hungry for success and this one smacks of a duke type signing so I’m optimistic.
Let’s get sharp in and try to keep waghorn as cover and throw one of the kids in.
At last some positive vibes and much needed after the disaster of last season.
Up the ticsonly two seasons in the last 9 have we seen anything other than relegation battles which to me represents a very steady decline which i cannot see ending.
Until we see a change in the policy the club follows then i see more of the same next year and i think more departures are very likely.
Alleged fight promoter style talk is about getting 100 points next year (pigs with wings if that happens under the present regime)and we are going to batter league 1.
All good stuff when you trying to flog season tickets but we all know what they likely reality is dont we?
A clearout of any player on high wages, inadequate replacements and last minute failed attempts when the window closes in August but no doubt successful player sales of anyone left that is worth any money or loan fees.
It doesnt look good whichever way you look at it and my expectation for next year is a squad made up of cheap signings and development squad players.
League 1 is a very mean league and if the scenario above is the case then its league 2 next year or a very serious relegation battle at least.
All we are getting from now is talk about who is leaving rather than who is arriving.
The team that took 6 seasons to get out of this division between 1997 and 2003 had a very heavy investment and that is certainly not going to happen this time in my opinion.
There is an even bumpier ride ahead in my opinion however the apathy from our supporters is staggering and can only mean they took up with Latics post 2005.I am not sure how serious they are taking the clubs current plight-has the reality of it kicked in FFS???
I am very angry about the situation we could easily have avoided-no more to be said!Snatch their effin hands off – 100% effort and a great engine but I see players in my weekly 5 a side torture with more ability on the ball thn him.
I am all in favour of trimming our wage bill and bringing in hungry driven players from other league one / two clubs and returning to the transfer policy that got us up there in the first place.
We may be down here for years so we have to face reality – bye bye james you did your best but you should have taken up rugby union you would have been a revelation ! -
