Golobart was the best player on the pitch against Bournemouth the other week.I would put him in for Ramis and give him a chance like Maloney was given last season as he looked very good at CH the other week.
His mistake Almost cost that hard won point yesterday and this will continue if the club continues with the ‘make do and mend policy’.
Ramis injury is a bitter blow and it’s ironic that the players the club paid cash out for last summer are not available at the moment.
They need to get some business done a s ap to shore up the weakness of that defence.Good point at a place were we get nothing as a rule. They almost snatched the customary two one win at the end but hey it’s a good result and sets us up nice against Blunderland next week.
A good day if you ask me and despite QPR and Reading picking up points its still them both down for me with anyone from us ,Villa ,Southampton for the last place. Is tackling banned in that league?
Wing back and another striker to replace boselli who surely won’t figure again. That lad at Bradford looks very good so why not have a bash and see what happens.
I bet today’s game wont linger in the memory for too long !
it will as one of the worst performances by a Wigan Athletic team in 33 years supporting the club.Bournemouths performance was also memorable for their fight and honesty and their fans a credit travelling up in such numbers.
“One of the worst performances in 33 years”???
You haven’t watched us a lot, have you?
I have seen enough over the years to know that the shower put on that field today didn’t give a f@@k about that’ve game today IMO.
I dont remember players like Andy Lyons,Neill Rimmer,Mark Leonard and co not trying and they had significantly less ability and paypackets than most of them on show today.
In my view that performance was totally unacceptable and easily one of the worst I have ever witnessed from a Wigan Athletic team.
if this seems over the top but I have never been as angry as I was when I saw some of the rubbish towards the end of that game today.
if football is just about money and staying in a uncompetitive league that fills the pockets of
Greedy inept players with no fight or hunger.I bet today’s game wont linger in the memory for too long !it will as one of the worst performances by a Wigan Athletic team in 33 years supporting the club.Bournemouths performance was also memorable for their fight and honesty and their fans a credit travelling up in such numbers.
good post Appley Bridge I couldn’t have put it better.
No energy, drive or enthusiasm and I was disgusted at the attitude of our players today -billy fekin big times the lot of them!
The Bournemouth supporters were excellent and got the atmosphere going and credit to them for travelling in such numbers just after Christmas.
I think it’s time for Our chairman to kick some backsides again!A point against Dulham and a home win against Blunderland and it will be all on again.
keep positive plenty of other clubs sweating and always a comfy one that drops in -my tip Norwich.Couldn’t you think of a daft rhyme for Norwich, then? ;)
SNOREWICH !
they are from a f¥¥¥in boring part of the world aren’t they?
3 football clubs in an area the size of the north west is hardly interesting is it?A point against Dulham and a home win against Blunderland and it will be all on again.

I will have to work on that one ;)

It’s not a wonder we lost. At one point they had 12 Cantonas, 12 George Bests, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ole Solskjaer, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and some bloke called Robin Van Persie. Didn’t see him on the pitch.
What were all the plane gestures about? Imagine the uproar if we had done that to them!!!! Reminded me of scousers today.
I saw those gestures and was surprised by them also. What surprised me more was seeing two bald old blokes aged about 65 gesticulating to ES2 aggressively -what a pair of clowns!
Utd played well today but then they always play well against us don’t they?
No shame getting outclassed by the top team in the league with a reserve team that would beat our first.Thats the Premier league isn’t it competitive to the last ……..notThe difference in rugby (and tennis, cricket, nfl etc) is that the game is stopped at the time of the incident and a video ref can be used.In football with goal line incidents and the Maloney one at Villa, the game carries on and could carry on for 4 minutes as it did against Arsenal with the Di Santo incident. All that time would have to be replayed if the official went back and awarded a penalty so we’d be there all night. It just wouldn’t work.
The only technology that football can use is for goal line incidents and it MUST be instant.
fair points goodpost
Good to see the club making ends meet and the investment in academy and facilities will stand the club in good stead for the future.
Can’t stand the bloke full stop especially after the situation with Palacious a few years back. The player had been languishing in the reserves at Birmingham and we took a chance only for him to be enticed away a year later in the january window.
