Tired now of hearing all the inquests and gibberish from pundits and ‘fans’ (most of whom have only ever watched football on telly by the sound of them) quoting soundbites they have read in the papers and heard on the radio/tv.
I remember when Taylor failed to get the then England team to USA 1994 world cup and they started a programme for kids and instigated small sided games etc.
The same sh/t is being spouted now so no doubt little jacks and johnnies across the land with soon be playing football with 2 a side and 3 balls watched over by their bully boy fathers on the touchlines.
My view is simple they couldnt give a sh/t about England and would have far sooner have been on the beach with their airhead spouses and their spoilt snotty nosed kids than playing for their country.
Any inquest is irrelevant because i think very few proper football supporters gives a flier anymore (outside of Woking and Kettering) and the sooner the radio/TV stops talking about these losers and starts focusing on the forthcoming football season the better in my opinion!Renewed no problem the other night and no charge for using my credit card!
Latics enter the 21st century at last! goodpostSadly i heard some little fat sh/t from Blackburn mouthing all that before our 3-3 draw at home last season.Shouting at the top of his voice to his mates(cousins/brothers??) in that grating twang of theirs he was spouting off all the stereotypical bull that we read and hear in the gutter press and media.
“Wigerrrrrrrrrrrrns a rugby towwwwwwwwwwn thee dont get gates ere they neer will and theirrrr goint dowwwn tert Championship unlike us”
Myself and our little group were amazed that he hadnt been filled in at this point by our livelier elements(dont condone btw) we then shouted at him and his group that they were talking complete and utter bullsh/t and watched his drink sodden fat bloated little face turn white as he realised that little Wigerrrrrrn sometimes do get gates and we do have ears.
I hope he remembered this little scene when we relegated Rawverrrs from the league in May-i call it Karma!
Dont walk away and grit your teeth and clench your fists face these idiots out and give them the truthful facts.Whelan should up it to 15 mill if they are that keen-incredible!
Make the b’st’rds pay through the nose!£7 million will probably swing the deal and i hope he goes to Chelsea rather than QPR.He has been a decent player for us but needs to work on his goal scoring and especially his passing(hes a greedy get).
A fee like that for a Moses will be good business but he should heed the ‘curse’ of players who move on from Latics.looks more spread out this year but please no repeat of the infamous 8 game losing streak between late september and november last year.
!Whatever he decides surely there are better options than a micro club like QPR?
They have mega delusions and a cr’ppy old fashioned ground that looks like a subbuteo stadium. No way should he go there and surely Roberto can talk him round and promise him his big move in january or even tie him to a new improved contract.
The jury is still out on Moses in my opinion and he needs to get consistency into his game and start scoring more goals.Martinez is staying put end of!
He isnt big enough for Spurs and isnt going because their supporters will want a ‘big’ name which RM most certainly isnt!
Seem to remember the old man many years back talking up Jewell up for the England job with Stuart Pearce????????????????????
I have always said he would have made a great boxing promoter and all he is doing in my opinion is trying to get Latics in the media spotlight and everybody talking about us.
He does this better than any marketing company or PR guru could ever do as he is always popping up on skysports, radio five and talksport throughout the year with his outspoken opinions.
If the club is all over the news then it gets people talking and keeps the club in the spotlight then so be it.The club gets loads of mentions in the national media now and that is down to the chairman.Joneseys header against Torquay probably the greatest ever Latics goal in my view!
He isnt going anywhere because he hasnt proved himself yet and will get zero time to prove himself elsewhere.
The reason is he wouldnt be a popular choice with their supporters after our cr@p 3/4 of last season.
One thing he isnt is thick and boy would he be thick to leave Latics just yet!Martinez isnt going anywhere until he has a steady season in the prem.Mention his name as a candidate at other clubs and their supporters start kicking off as they surely would at Spurs.
Villa or Newcastle away will do for me.
Villa always a great away day on the choo choo and some great pubs to visit notably the Bullring tavern in the city- well worth a visit if your ever down there.Newcastle is also a good away and id expect to take loads up there if we get them on the opening day.
That said i bet we get Steady Nigels mob or Dreading away or even worse Dulham away! :(Friendlies are a joke about as much passion as a wet wednesday in Leigh.
I remember latics playing Cliftonville on springfield park and i ran on the pitch(only about 12 at the time) after a Latics goal and taunted their keeper after a goal went in(very peurile).
:silly:Chorley fc is an odd little ground you almost feel like you have gone back in time 80 years when you enter it.
Good to see the club are freeing up some money for him at last he deserves it after the magnificent end to last season.
He needs to scour the league for bargains and rough diamonds because i prefer these than the ‘off the peg’ players like those that QPR signed last season.
It was great to see Maloney come good last season and what a bargain he has turned out to be.Also good to see they are working on signings at the moment rather than messing about at the last minute.
Cant wait for next season-counting the days down! :pinch: -
