From what I recall, London is a picturesque place – more of a hamlet than a village, the sort of place you see on a postcard, so with all these northerners coming down, I hope we don’t impact too greatly on their traditional, rural way of life. Parking near the village green is a bit limited, so they may need to enlist the help of a PCSO from a neighbouring town to help out.
Promotion for me too. We used to moan about being last on MOTD all the time, but at least we were on it. To be up there on merit with the big teams week in, week out makes wet December midweek games in Sheffield worthwhile.
Have to take my 3 year old this time – either that or home alone all weekend. That’s 1 extra than was at the cup final. Hope there’s a creche in there.
I cant make Saturdays game so my wife has agreed to drop off and pick up my 13 year old son and his mate at the Reebok stadium on Saturday.
Anybody know if she is ok to park at the Middlebrook for the duration of the game and do a bit of shopping or is it like Robin park were she risks getting a ticket, many thanks in advance. If she’s parked on there for shopping (and has receipts) then how would the parking Stazi know she was there for match purposes as well ;)
I used to work near the Reebok a few years back. We were allowed to use Asda car park as an overspill…not Tescos.
Bottom line is private parking tickets are unenforceable for a number of legal reasons. You can chuck them in the bin along with any letters “inviting” you to settle up to avoid court…These people are vermin and can be treated as such.
Have a look at http://www.pepipoo.com for further advice.[/quote]
Pepipoo is a great site and you are right – the PPC’s are vermin with their fake ‘penalty charge notices’, but the basic advice on the forums over the last year or so is not to ignore the private parking ticket, but to challenge through POPLA.
At least it showed why you shouldn’t leave 10 minutes early to beat the traffic.
Rooney £300K or Holt £20k (ish). Different universe but who is better value…
Very pleased at his appointment. Suspect there’ll be some Brentford fans thinking it’s a sideways move at best, but as someone said on another thread – much better a manager on the way up than one going the other way. Anyhow, in anticipation of us potentially losing at least one game over the next few seasons he’s hopefully here, may I be the first to say “Rosler Out”.
There’s a rotund gentleman in ES4 – wears the same trousers every game – gets quite irate at every misplaced pass. Made himself a ‘Martinez Out’ banner a year or two back. He’s probably been to Asda to buy some new crayons today…
Holt and Fortune in the same line up? It’d be like playing with 9. Powell may not be a striker, but I’d much rather have him up there.
Normally I’ve quite a bit of time/sympathy for Gomez. I don’t mind him blazing the ball over the bar like he did last night as at least he’d got into a scoring position and even our well liked forwards are allowed to miss now and again. However, just before that, in front of ES3, there was a 50/50 ball and he appeared to pull out of a tackle. Hopefully, just an error of judgement, but deep down I wonder if he just didn’t fancy it. Obviously, we’ll never know, but if got me thinking too that maybe he’s on his way.
Bryan Adams is still No 1.
Letters delivered to the kid’s schools today to say they won’t be in tomorrow. 5am start for us. Feels a bit like christmas eve as a kid. Never thought I’d see this.
Prices from $23 – for a friendly! And with a 7.30pm kick off time, we’ll never get the last train back to Wigan. Coyle out…
This talk of him retiring is a bit premature – he’s got another 4 years injury time yet.
If we ignore the Preston links, David Moyes could be out of a job within 6 months…
