Clarke Carlisle has just been on North West tonight having a bit of a pop at Whelan, saying something about being ‘honourable’ and resigning. This can’t be the same Clarke Carlisle who is a convicted drink driver can it? Someone so drunk that even the morning after, they were still twice over the limit. Someone who’s “error of judgement” could quite easily have cost the life of an innocent motorist/pedestrian?
Must be someone else…
Two horses in a fridge. One says to the other – Brrrrrrrrrr
(have to say it out loud for maximum effect)
These wonderful new stadiums they’ve spent a few quid on. There’s not one where the crowd are right on top of the action. The front row seats seem miles away and very high up.
And the size of the ID badges the managers/officials have to wear.
Perhaps we should have played Bucks Fizz as our back four.
TV ‘football’ ads that usually feature a group of blokes sitting on a sofa. One will come in with a pizza/beer/big mac etc. They’ll all lean forward together to feign excitement and then jump up as our team score. Then we’ll all go out and buy whatever nonsense they’re trying to sell.
World cup non irritations: 8 and 11pm kick off times. Proper times. Those 8am ones in Japan/South Korea seem a world away.
Players who ‘rise to the occasion’.
When did Beausejour ever do that for us?
I know you’re fishing – but the club (not him personally) did use the money to plug the gap in finances caused by loss of Premier League money and to support the wage bill.;)
Some of our lot actually get paid? There must be some mistake.
I’m off to Burnley, except their fans were moaning about the tickets going up by up to 50%. Then the chairman had a go saying last time they were relegated, 5000 ‘fans’ disappeared overnight. Maybe we don’t have it so bad.
18 goals in 145 games in six years. Prolific!Certainly is by the standards of our current strike force.
But at least inconsistency isn’t one of his weaknesses.
Bit pricey if we play Derby:
2013/14 Season Ticket Holders: £25 for Adults, £17.50 for Senior Citizens, £14 for Under 18s & £7.50 for Under 12s.
Non 2013/14 Season Ticket Holders: £32 for Adults, £22.50 for Senior Citizens, £18 for Under 18s & £10 for Under 12s.

Says they’ve sold 17,000.
Shame there’s not a points deduction…
…cos they’d have to give us some more.
Lazy, arrogant and poor decision makingAnd that’s just the Highways Agency for using their discretion and planning the closure on the M6 on the way home for routine maintenance.
I like him – a bit greedy maybe, but perhaps that’s just his youth and inexperience. Yesterday however, didn’t feel he added anything when he came on and seemed to spent most of his time on his backside. I was left with the impression that maybe the occasion was too big for him.
The ones in our carriage on the tube back to Baker St were fine. There was a sense of relief that they’d scraped home, but that even a cup win would be just papering over the cracks. Quite subdued really, especially with Everton winning putting 4th place at risk. Not quite Arsene out vitriol, but time for a change. No anti Wigan stuff at all.
I’ll pass on the local nectar as being Saturday, I think the village inn hosts a peasant shoot(ing up) and being a townie, I don’t understand country sports.
