Before I go on, I must just say that the Latics season tickets are fantastic value and the club deserve a massive pat on the back for their ST prices, particularly for families.
But….a mate of mine with two U11 kids, who has been thinking of going to Latics for a while, enquired today about getting three tickets for the Wolves match. It would have been his first trip to DW – he’s a football “fan” in that he follows one of big 4 but priced out of their ground.
He was quoted £50 in total plus booking fee. £20 for him, £15 each for kids. He decided not to bother. I don’t blame him.
Did you not think of takign your kids to the Sunderland game at £7.50 a go? Or is it easier to pick on a game where you know the prices havent been reduced and gives you the excuse to moan.?
Moan? The guys just said it was £50 for 1 adult and 2 kids, thats disgusting!
But why pay more money to watch our players pass the ball sideways for 90 minutes and lose?
Its called being a fan, how do you know what will happen?
Oh no, I’m not a real fan now because I want more fans in the ground and offered a realistic solution on here for once.
I didnt go to Goole either, I must be a JCL!I’m sorry but I just don’t get it.
….are you saying that the ‘pick and choosers’ should pay less than those who have purchased Season Tickets?
Do you honestly believe this to be fair (to the ST holders) and a proper price (it’s a premier league fixture for heavens sake)
Its thirteen and a half quid on the door at SeaLife in Blackpool – out in under an hour – and you’re not even allowed to shout at the fish.
In my opinion, the prices reflect good value when looked at nationally.
Yes but were as at SeaLife your only going to go if you actually like fish and all that lark and therefore are pretty much certain you’ll get a good time for your money.
But why pay more money to watch our players pass the ball sideways for 90 minutes and lose?I agree this isn’t fair for season ticket holders (as I am one) work it out though……
£10 for category B games and £20 for A games. Say 10 home games are considered B games and 9 A. That is £280, around the season ticket price now anyway aint it??

Just out of interest….
……how much do you think he should pay to see Premiership Football?
Seriously…..
Well for a game against Wolves £5 for the kids and £10 for adults.
now he has come back with a retort and thrown accusasions in my direction, which i fully expected and welcome
You accused me of being a hooligan, no not just a hooligan – a leader of a hooligan ‘firm’
The only thing I accused you of is being a liar for saying this
So prove I’m a hooligan and prove you’re not a liar
Dead easy. Take as long as you like
Cheers Griff, I was happy to let it lie but having thought about it, I don’t think I should ;)
My Dad is harder than you Dad! :D
Never once claimed to be able to write. But seeing as your pointing the finger to a few people in this thread Griff lets see your master pieces?

I’m not the one slagging off other people’s writing, am I?
But since you ask…

yawn… Google is a good un.
Very poor article.
I’ve had a season ticket since 98′ but now that I’m fed up with Whelans lack of spending and blind support of Martinez’s poor tactics am I all of a sudden not a “real” fan?
Look forward to reading your scintillating piece, in response.
I don’t think he actually name-checked you rto be fair, but hey, if the cap fits and all that.
Bravo, on the season ticket longevity, by the way.
yawn…. A supporter moaning about supporters moaning. Its great when all these flakey supporters are turning up but they are the worst people in the world when they don’t?

someone told me it is £5 for season ticket holders, is that true? I may go along if thats the case.
No, it’s not. Last of the big spenders, eh?
Not wasteing an extra £5 to watch the reserves play bobbys boring tactics ;)

Martinez blames ‘naive’ Wigan….

Well I blame you Bobby
I was on here last week saying how Martinez made the right decisions with subs against Sunderland.
1 week later…… SHOCKING!
Hope the lad has a quick recovery but it looked a bad un.A true ex Latics mon who let his feet do the talking and not his gob…..a few others could do well to take note…N’Zogbia and Chimbonda to name but two….
Get well soon Antonio.
1 of the very few players that I have no grudge over when he left as he did no moaning or claiming shouts that he wanted a move to a “big club”. Get well soon Tony!
4 2 3 1 :oops:Di Santo and N’Zogbia came on the 53rd minute and we played 442 from then on in. Even when Boselli went off later on we still had Di Santo and Rodallega played up front together.
Stam looks good for 60mins, but still not fit to Premier league standard.
