    Eric Sabin

How many of you googled that :cheer:

Think he scored against us once

    in reply to: dreadful #77197

I think it’s funny now, I am past being bothered, Roll on the rugby season so i can see some proper sport with people who want to win.

in reply to: Kop Racism Thing #77185

Your just as gullible or believing it then. That could go either way.

in reply to: amir khan #77172

Hate Khan with a passion but he WAS robbed and it is clearly obvious something corrupt was going on with the scoring.

On another note, I would love to see Mayweather knock the shit out of him in 4 rounds.

I heard the same thing this morning Garswood, Manc bastard is what was apparently said, Think on this occasion it is a nobody player jumping on the Liverpool racism bandwagon to make himself a bit of a celeb.

Not miserable, Just not blind. Hendry Thomas is a joke of a player. Can’t believe anyone could stick up for him.

in reply to: FA Cup Saturday #77081

He isnt the worst that i have seen?

But he is, Otherwise i would not have said it. What other midfielder can’t pass, tackle or shoot and is on thousands a week.

in reply to: FA Cup Saturday #77075

The same could have been said of Koumas, De Ridder, Kapo, Scotland, Amaya, Won Chee Hoo-ever he is and Bouaouzan but with the exception of Amaya and Scotland who were sold all the others contracts just ran down despite never getting a sniff, But they did in the cups. So he has done it before.

The current squad now, Kirkland, Lopez, Thomas, McArthur, and countless other current regular first teamers are no good either but i bet the bad ones will all play. Not sure of Glass Back’s injury situation but i can guarantee the other 3 will start. Bad players and bad Martinez signings. Bruce got the ball rolling with Thomas but Martinez could have stopped that deal when he arrived, And should have as he is the worst midfielder i have ever seen in any league.

I think it is fair to say Martinez isnt bothered one bit about the F.A Cup, I know it isn’t just him that does it but this competition used to be the best thing in the season to wait for. Every club at full strength when genuine shocks occured. I don’t wan’t to take any gloss off Swindon if they win because fair play they would have still beaten a premiership team and it’s a big day for them if they do, Regardless of what league they expect us to be in. If you look around the boards we don’t deserve to be in the Premier League, We have been bankrolled and we should be in league 2 where our attendances would suit, However if they win tomorrow we will be a Premiership side and they have a giant killing. Back on topic, As we know, Martinez’ record in the F.A Cup with us is worse than dismal but i think he was in charge at Swansea the season befe he joined us when they were thumped 4-2 by Havant & Waterlooville.

He might not care, But for the fans it is a major embarrassment. We deserve a good cup run at least if he is resigned to relegation battles every year. We could beat them 5-0 tomorrow if we wanted to but he would rather us not to for some reason.

Steve Bruce sure has a knack of picking up rotten footballers, No doubt about that.

Im not in a clique. I may moan and complain but when i do thats off my own back.

But when i applaud and congratulate that too is also off my own back.

in reply to: Has The Standard Dropped ? #77006

I would say the standard has dropped for sure but that goes back to a few of my points of football being in a mass decline in England. Money has taken over and crushed the league as a competition for European places. There is only 1 place up for grabs because even Stoke have a mega rich owner. Full credit must go to Newcastle because they are making a fist of it in the face of adversity. In the eyes of the Premier League, Ourselves, Bolton, Swansea e.t.c are not worthy of this league and the Leeds, Nottm Forest and Leicester’s of this world should be here instead, They have big stadiums and big attendances but they also have or had a lot of debt and paid the ultimate price. Teams only eligible to play in the league can be there. If Leicester did come back up i would revel in them getting relegated again just to see Lineker’s face.

I love rugby league but the one think i hate is teams being elected into divisions. If that happened in football we would be in League 1, And that is just because of our stadium.

in reply to: Mame Biram Diouf #77003

Think the Macheda thing could have been a red herring. I reckon the papers latched on to a rumor we were in for a United striker and put 2+2 together but came up with 5. Diouf is far more the complete striker. Everybody knows in this league to be a good striker these days your main attribute is pace and a bit of clinical finishing. Di Santo has the footwork and work rate but is no way a premiership striker. He would blossom in Italy or Spain but not here in this league.

Hope Martinez can pull this one off.

And to be fair that is being very fair ;) :P

Nobody is going to be liked by everybody and people will annoy other people with differing views e.t.c but the blatant wind up merchants are just pointless. In the last 5 years or so i have seen this board gradually turning into one infiltrated by kids. Well i was when i first started posting, That was about 9 years ago, But i was mature about what i was saying. Just getting my views across like i do now.

in reply to: Just When You Thought He Had Learned #76793

What bug’s me though is that there was no need to get hammered at home to Sunderland 1-4 at all. It was a dismal display after we had hit the post. Why does no other team in the country capitulate like we do after conceding a goal. Not to mention giving them 3 goals for nothing. Defence needs addressing or we are down. So bloody frustrating. Connor Sammon offers nothing, Gohouri, Figeuroa, McCarthy, Rodallega (although ok tonight)Caldwell, Di Santo, Thomas, Piscu and Alcaraz just are not first team players. Jones, Watson, McCarthur, Gomez Are too average so that leaves Moses, Diame, Al-Habsi, Stam and Crusat who have anything. Two of those players were on the bench and one got taken off after causing countless problems for the opposition.

If we go down after 3 seasons of scrapping for safety and hearing the same old stuff then it is nobody’s fault but Roberto’s and it proves he is not a good manager no matter how much Dave Whelan says he is. I wonder if a couple of results at the end of the season see us stay up again. Supporting this club is becoming repetitively boring.
