Not sure about anybody else, but I’m a bit sick of hearing The Snake and Northern Soul. It’s a bit boring now.

1974 we were drawn at home to Mansfield who were league leaders in Div 4 at the time and I remember being a bit disappointed that we ‘only’ got 15,000 onDon’t know if these are the same car parks where you got stuck….. but there are a load of industrial premises that charge a fiver along Branch Road … 10 minute walk from the ground but I’ve used them a few times and always got away fairly quick ….head away from the ground after and you can work your way back to the Motorway without trying to fight your way back on the main road (A666 ?)

Vat/Runcorn….. I do think you are right to have concerns and to some extent I share the same worries but as Nuneaton has said , people who can muster £20 million or so
are unlikely to be dimwits and this whole process has been unfolding for months (and I guess it still may not happen .) so we aren’t being bought on a whim.If the buyers have made enquiries with football folk in the UK(and I can only think they must have) then they are likelier to have got a gloomier assessment of our standing and future prospects than if they asked us ….so they really ought to be coming in with eyes wide open ?

It would have done any good but at least it would have been bold….nothing revolutionary about playing RL in Australia ??When they took a game to Millwall a few years ago …. what was the point ….?

Vat I can’t pretend that I don’t have similar fears, however whilst my immediate reaction was similar to your own, I think this is a gambler who appears
to win more often than he loses according to his poker results, which makes him a savvy gambler.
He’s also the owner of several substantial corporations, has a couple of degrees and this makes him no idiot either.I’ve no idea if we’re being sold lock stock and barrel for £20m but if we are that still a pile of money for a smart guy to shell out.
It’s reasonable to assume he has some ideas and if he is employing a guy like Gary Cook who has operated at a very high level then there must be some positives here to weigh against
the valid risks.A few ifs in there I grant you but if a professional poker player was ALL he was then I’d be more worried, but it seems he isn’t.
