This afternoon wasn’t luck.
They played Arsenal off the park.That’s down to tactics not luck.

Arsenal are desperate for a trophy. Winning two games against modest opponents will give them the FA Cup. I think that Wenger will put his strongest team out on Saturday.However, as Arsenal have so few players available at the moment, he has very few options open to him for either game. His team on Saturday is likely to be little changed from today. I’m sure Rosler will have studied how Everton tore them apart. Wigan have a great chance of reaching the Cup Final once again!
Arsenal were awful this afternoon.
If they play that badly against us, and I hope they do, then we have a really good chance of getting to the Final.
I’m sure Uwe will have a plan, I hope we can be skillful and clever enough to implement it.
However their season is resting on this and the media will be expecting them to beat us but we’ve been in this position several times now so fingers crossed we can do it again.
A good result on Tuesday night will put us in the right frame of mind I’m sure.

You serious with that comment about McLean? one thing he can do is take a man on and beat him. His final pass or shot ain’t that good, and he is so left footed it makes him predictable, but he has pace no doubt.

He’s so one footed its not true. Callum can go both ways and tie a full back in knots – Gael Clichy being a prime example.

Disagree. The performance dipped after he and Callum went off.
Callum is the only player we have who can beat one or two players.McLean would struggle to beat an egg.Fortune couldn’t score in a brothel to complete the cliches. ;)
You may think Powell is lazy and arrogant but he can display a touch of class – the goal last Saturday at Bolton illustrates that.
We’ll need some more of that in the next few matches.
Have to agree that the substitutions did nothing to enhance the performance. It’s a good job Leeds are crap and we had no injuries in the last 35 minutes..
But we won and at the end of the day that’s the most important point or 3 !! ;)

I just thought that we should have carried on pushing at 2-1 as they were well on the ropes and I felt that taking Powell off ( For obvious reasons of shutting up shop ) was maybe a mistake and the Gomez substitution although backing up the shutting up shop theory was also puzzling! I have sort of contradicted myself there but what I am saying is, we could have got another if we had just kept on pressing !He was probably giving them a bit of a rest. I expect they’ll both start on Saturday.
