Everton are winning games despite Martinez,

    Rubbish statement.

One of our best mates and my neighbour opposite are both season ticket holders at Goodison.

I also work with loads of Everton fans.

All of them despite initial reservations at his appointment are delighted with how the team have progressed under Martinez. They all go on about Moyes and his negativity much as Utd fans are at present.

Phil Jagielka stated in his post match interview on Wednesday that the team had improved since the change of manager and the change of tactics.

You may not like it and may find it difficult to accept mate but they won’t finish bottom 4.

I was never Robertos biggest fan when he was with us but I’ll admit now he is a far better manager than I gave him credit for.

Bigger budget and better players like I said mate.

Yep quite happy with that draw

Was three at the back a safety first tactic? No, not at all. A bigger budget and a larger squad would have helped.

Perfectly evidenced by Wednesdays and todays performances. Better players.

It was just like watching uas last season part of the time this afternoon.McCarthy was very influential.

I know loads of Evertonians. They all love Roberto now and think young James is a great signing. :)

Let’s see how his does against Arsenal tomorrow.

    Another great result today.

Better players = Better team = Better results.

    Quite logical really. B)

Why has Carson got a starting place back? Nicholls has made one error but still looks a far better keeper.

Is it a coincidence that we’ve conceded 2 crappy goals from corners with Carson and Ramis back in the team? And how the hell does Watson warrant a place in the team?

Onwards and downwards at this rate.

Rosler must like a challenge – fingers crossed he can turn things round. :)

Either would probably be preferable to the game I reckon !!

To be honest, right or wrong. once you’ve lost the fans (and to be honest it looks like he’s lost the dressing room too) then his days are numbered.

    From the BBC Web Site

Wigan manager Owen Coyle on the club’s fans:

“The expectation can only come from being in the Premier League because it’s not as if Wigan Athletic have been winning games every week for four or five years, far from it.

“If people want to be ultra critical that’s the nature of football these days. I’m old enough to deal with that. If they think there’s something better that’s all well and good.”

OOOPS Not the best comment under the circumstances I would argue??

About 85 mins in he turns to a fan near him and shots whats your f*****g problem and then why don’t you f*****g shut up amongst other things

Hope the fan said “The problem is you, you clueless tosser. Grow up and put a suit on????”

in reply to: Coyle on his way tonight? #124168

Turned some decent players average, buys two useless strikers and wants to spend money on more crap signings in January. Think uncle dave will have a word tonight.

How can you sack someone when we hit the bar twice, their keeper pulled off a string of good saves and we created numerous chances.[/quote]

    Cos we are shite basically.

When did we last lose 3 games at home in 8 days??????

    When did anyone?

in reply to: The Mclaren factor #124152

More about the Coyle Factor and the fact he hasn’t got a bloody clue !!.

The first half was truly appalling. Watson is hopeless – I know he’ll always have a place in Latics folklore, but he can’t pass, cross, shoot or tackle.

I felt sorry for the new kid.Thrown to the wolves and looked out of his depth.

Thank goodness they went off at half time.

Things improved following the half time changes and for 20 minutes after we scored, but the damage had already been done.

Losing 3 times at home in 8 days shows how far the “mighty” have fallen.

We look in real trouble and without direction.

    Bottom 3 Coyle anyone??

in reply to: How Long Before “Bottom Four Bob” #124126

Good win today and back up to 4th.

Albeit probably temporary following tomorrows games.

However they will defo finish top 6 I reckon.

The Zulte fans were better than some Premier League followings and even spoke better English.

Well they brought more than Fulham ever did !!
