Well we rode our luck due to some great goalkeeping and blocking and scored 2 goals of the kind we normally concede.

I agree that it’s a great point, mainly because we were lucky not to lose by the skin of our teeth, giving the ball away like school kids & last ditch lucky defending was what I saw, 1 meaningful attempt at goal in the second half, I don’t want to slag the performance off but each game leaves me with more concerns although it’s difficult to say how good or bad Zulte are .

Nah – if we perform badly on Sunday and don’t beat Ipswich that will be the cause for concern.
As for Tuesday there no way I could ever see us beating City in a cup competition !!
He played 50 odd games For Crewe as a striker and scored 14 goals in what League 2??
He’s only played twice for Utd – 30 mins against us being one of them and he scored.
Coyle then asks him to play a lone role upfront in Europe in those conditions.
He’s only 19,and obviously lacks match practice/fitness.
I wouldn’t critisise him – there are a few last night that I could but as I said in another thread it would be churlish to do so.
Solid performance and a great point in poor conditions.
A clean sheet speaks for itself and it would be churlish to critisise anyone tonite after that battling performance.

Ah I just felt that I should point out that I didn’t see the point of you making the point that a crowd of 28,000 was a cause for complaint.Just seemed petty and pointless.

He isn’t a full back.So you shouldn’t really be surprised at this defending. He could get away with it as a left wing back as there was cover behind.
Unfortunately the alternative left back isn’t too great either is he?
