Great performance. Great result. 3 great goals.

Only complaint really was the goal we conceded.

Yet another poorly defended high ball into the box.

But a good confidence builder for next Saturday hopefully.

Great read. Conveyed the atmosphere brilliantly !!

    Nice job.

in reply to: Win FA Cup or stay up? #103389

Stay up definately but I would love to see the lads walk out at Wembley as well.

Stay up and get to the semis.

Anything else would be a bonus for me.

City very poor from what I’ve seen so far

Thanks for the commentary, but 5 Live was much better ;)

    Im sure it was :)

Hard to watch and type especially when like me you’re as blind as a bat !!! B)

    4-1

Score flattered Chelsea as we had our share of posession.

Just never really looked like scoring again though. Poor save from Ali again on the 4th and his 1st save near the end neally cost us a 5th – he made a brilliant recovery save though.

    Move on.

Reading up next at least Reading and QPR also lost.Just hope City can beat southampton later on.

    3-1 Great finish Lampard

    2-0 pathetic defending and marking.

We were having a good spell as well.

    We just can@t defend

    Wait a minute 2-1 – great finish Maloney !!!

Moses could score a goal out of nothing? He has scored 20 goals since 2007! 8 of those were for us in 74 games. That’s a goal per 9 and a quarter games! We’re well shut of him in my opinion.

Yeah we haven’t missed him at all since he left.

We also had Moses last season and Nzogbia the season before.

Players who could produce a bit of magic and score a goal out of nothing.

We don’t appear at present have that now !!

Also to bring Gomez on was a major error. He needs so much time on the ball to create anything and there was no way he was going to get that in the 2nd half.

Yes, because Gomez was the reason we played so ineffectively today. I wondered how long it would take.

This week’s tit of the week award goes to…
Where did I blame Gomez for anything? – I just questioned the managers judgement for bringing him on.

The whole midfield was ineffective 2nd half.

And you can have the most “ignorant Tit on the forum” award mate !!

Fergie reckoned the 2nd half performance by Southampton was the best he’s seen by an away team at Old Trafford this season.

The new manager played a pressing game.We may not get the time we need to play our passing game – and they have a proven goal scorer in Lambert.

It will be tough but if we maintain our performance of the second half on Tuesday we should be OK.

Looking forward to a good game now.

The other side of that coin is that the more pressing and open they play, the greater the opportunity for us to counter attack and break them down. Nothing puzzles our team more than seeing two banks of four of worse, a four and a five, in front of them.

The way Saints played last night certainly seems to make for an open, exciting game. Looking forward to it, too
Well they pressed us good style in the second half just as they did at Old Trafford and we couldn’t cope with it. We were lucky to get a point in the end. I’d be gutted if I was a Saints fan as they were clearly better than us over 90 minutes.

How can Di Santo score that goal at Fulham but then perform like a headless chicken for the rest of the season. Also to bring Gomez on was a major error. He needs so much time on the ball to create anything and there was no way he was going to get that in the 2nd half.

    Only positive today was Scarner.

I was filled with so much confidence after Tuesdays 2nd half showing as well.

    Silly me ! :)
