I have no idea who Tea Bag Head is but I like the cut of his jib with a cracking post in a style vaguely reminiscent of a certain cavalier heavy metal gentleman who many moons ago used to stalk this board. It touched a few nerves and he’s certainly got the measure of you.
There is no issue with anyone contributing to Mudhutter. The only criteria is that you must know your onions. People who spend all day moaning that the onion in front of you is making you cry whilst continually stating that you don’t like onions in the same repetitive manner will be given short shrift. ;)

Hey….let’s revisit the title of this thread. Complimentary?…… It could have been a celebration of those who have contributed over the year (Review 2010) to this board, however many posts they have made.
No! is the answer. Mr Tee Bag Head chose to remain fraternal (and obvious) showing no respect for fellow posters who input, however slight, to this board. This is what makes us good. By example:

LostockHallLatic, Yosser_Hughes, mighty_aff, galacTic, BlueWhiteArmy, Keepthefaith, TyldesleyLatic, Blueneon, Parakeetsbestfriend, AbramLatic, Sammy, Northernprimate… and all those recently (too many to mention) who have said their bit (may it continue).In the past there was CP66 et al, all healthy contibutors to this, and previous, boards (what people forget is that CL has been going for years therefore the “post count” does not reflect commitment to input/posts – we miss, dare I say Mr “Owd Git” – mellow and calm (where are they now – regardless of their persona… ;) )
I could go on, and am sorry for those who haven’t had any recognition. Contribution remains key and to single out ‘the chosen few’ is incestuious it smacks of a paraniod disposition.

After the debacle of Thursdays bidding results its blatantly obvious that the outcome was already decided long before that pantomime. Question is what do we do now? Russia and Qatar won purely on dodgy dealings i mean how can you take the worlds game to a country where Gays and Jews are banished? What happens if Israel Qualify in 2022? Russia has a terrible record of racism and violence so Sepp Prat-ter takes it there on the back of their very own “kick racism out ” campaign. Many things have been said since Thursday i.e Fifa hate England they are jealous of our success blah blah blah so what action should we now take? In my opinion we should not be there in 2018 but if we tell Fifa to stuff it we will be outcast from Eufa also and that would stop our clubs from competing in Europe as well. We cant really go it alone but we mustnt qualify for Russia at any cost. If i had my way we would now bring in video technology to the English game without Fifa,s say so and we should show them utter contempt by deliberately failing to qualify for 2018 by fielding inferior players. The problem i have with the world cup in Russia is that Fifa have been corrupt in making sure we didnt get the vote but trust me when the time comes they will be desperate that this wonderful nation of ours is there in 2018. Lets face it the average Ruskie is not gonna be able to afford to spend a months wages to watch football. The Yanks will deffo not be there neither the Krauts or the Kermits. So how the hell will they fill the stadiums if the English are not there especially if the Scots and Irish dont qualify. That moron Blatter is counting on British fans paying British money in bucketfulls to make Russia 2018 a success well to me that would be the ultimate kick in the knackers to the home of football. Lets hold our own tournament in that year for the non qualifiers starting and ending on the same date dates as the world cup and let Fifa and Blatter go to hell.Wow…straight from the heart chap, very comendable.
You mention lots of things there about how you, your friends and, maybe, the rest of us feel.
However, and this is just an idea, ….you are right; hit them where it hurts and that is in the ‘wallet’. FIFA, the ‘Host’ Country and much more are reliant on the income generated by the competition.
So….let’s lobby other nations (upset like us by the lying/cheating etc) to boycot the television rights and not buy them……

When they got the 1st, I was already feeling as it would be Blackpool all over again, but the courage and passion shown today was much much better.
I know almost every Latics fan would like Bobby to succeed as manager of Wigan Atheltic and when the going gets tough, the fans get going. Stoke are now unbeaten in 5 – so getting a point isn’t that much of a diserpoitment for me to be honest. :geek:
Where I sit, the people above me in WS3 (row Y upwards !) are so negative. In injury time they were all calling for Alcey’s head when he didn’t wack the ball up for Boselli to compete for. :roll:
I think Di Santo and McManaman should of been brought on for Watson and Boselli late on – but that’s just me :P
