Someone said he never put Moses on because it was ‘too physical a match’.
Would that be your uncle’s mate’s dogwalking babysitter’s aunty who ‘said’ that…………………….only he knows why he didn’t put Moses on.
I hope we weren’t playing for a draw, but I think we might have been. I feel next Tuesday will be the final straw for many, if we lack passion, etc.Massive 6 pointer.
and would this ‘final straw’ be at the big ‘Team Talk’ the day before the massive game against Bolton?
Interesting stat Micky.I posted one the other week which showed Wigan as having one of the highest passes completed averages.
Without splitting hairs, have they perhaps taken both long passes and long balls (there is a difference – one is aimed at a team mate, and the other is a hopeful punt into an area of the pitch) to try and prove a point?
I’d hardly put Liverpool or Spurs into the long ball team category.
Thank you Mr Walker…
I did indeed feel a little ‘uncomfortable’ with that statistic. However, after further investigation I now find that it is based on passes over 30 yards.
Well there you go………………SSN will dress up their figures/stats (just like any other ‘redtop’ I suppose) to suit their own agenda.
Hey Ho! We live and learn. I feel a little better now ;) phew!
The “Jiggaboo” comment really stunned me. :lol:Check yourselves…….boy (it was the  that did it for me)
My question to Loudmouth is, whatever your opinion of Martinez and those who support him, during the first half against Stoke, would you still stand by your opinion that we are a long ball team?
watch a replay of the second half all we did -or caldwell and bramble did was hoof it,or give it straight to a stoke player.
Second half, maybe. We are all agreed that it was poor. Now, back to the question……during the first half against Stoke, would you still stand by your opinion that we are a long ball team?
Wow…this is a first for me.
In support of fair debate (and shared opinions), I watched in awe the statistic on SSN about the ‘long ball’ game and thought about………well you all know the rest. I could not believe that we are THIRD, yes 3RD, in that statistical league.
Look at “itownvillan”s post that confirms what I saw/heard on tv.

I can’t help knowing what I know……….and I know it it ‘goes against some people’s grain’, however, the figures show a different story.
Sorry guys……………..I remain fair in all debate.
Pains me to say it, but I can see no light at the end of this very long tunnel.
Against County at County, the first signs of unrest from players arguing with each other. Today Rodallega leaves the pitch with one serious strop.
It seems the players either do not want, or cant play the rubbish Martinez is trying.
Today I was expecting 2 up front with one of our new signings out on the left wing. But what did we actually get?
Yet again, as has been the case so often, glaring misses and failure to put the ball in the net is costing us dearly. From missing an almost open goal to conceding at the other within the space of 3 mins.
Against Everton was the same.
Why did we not start with Moses on left, NZogbia on right and plaster the penalty box with crosses?
Martinez obviously didnt think Moses was up to starting, well why not? If he doesn’t think hes up to facing a team whose not won in 10, is he trying to say hes wasted our money again?
We should have killed the game off today, but Martinez had other ideas. I was thinking bring Moses on and put him alongside Rodallega. But no, brings Moses on and takes Rodallega off.
The guy has not got a clue what he’s doing and I can see relegation at the end of this season.
Any other manager would have been given the boot now, Hutchings was given 4 matches then up the road you go.
This bloke is still here due to misplaced loyalty. If he really cared about the club, he would resign and take Jones and Barrow with him.you are a total door handle :!: rodney was rubbish today and when he watches the game he will see he has no case to argue. You keep comeing on here spouting rubbish, you asked why didnt he start with moses, well here is the sucker punch, its actually 1 of your comments hes no premiership experiance(isnt that what you keep saying about bob) so why should moses walk streight into the team.elephant heads days will soon be over up the,the response at the end proved that
door handle
rodney
comeing
moses
streight :oops:Hope you don’t mind, but let me offer you some advice:
Before posting on a message board or such like, what you need to do is grasp certain aspects of English and learn about spelling. Punctuation is also very important, with capital lettars and commas a must.
If you don’t, you embaress yourself and your posts end up looking like the work of a child. This doesn’t count if you are a child of course, judging by the above this looks very likely.
Don’t try to make someone look stupid whilst looking stupid yourself.

Until ace and bob came on……………………..
I was truely enjoying the best Soliloquy.

Are you telling me that Terry’s off field antics and the continued media hounding would have no effect on the rest of the team or their performance?
Capello’s action on this – like the rest of his strong discipline – has sent a clear message about how teammates need to behave, whilst also acknowleding that Terry is still a key player that England can ill afford to lose.
Leave him in as captain and he’s condoning Terry’s behaviour. Leave him out of the team and he’s weakening the squad. Good middle ground to quickly maintain stability (in the camp and in the press) given that there’s only 4 months to the World Cup.Quite………………….and John has already nailed his colours to the wall by stating that he will ‘fight back to get his captaincy back’….it starts with the next game. Like you said it’s not only 4 months to the world cup……it’s better than that. The Great British “Goldfish Memory” will see to that……..fortunately we have the feckin’ of one-eyed Brown to distract the nation and then look forward to some good ol’ summer luvin’ to take us there. This green and pleasant land who will keep their head when all those are losing theirs will overcome – when it comes to football there have been too many quotes (most famously……”life or death – it’s more important than that”) – that’s how we will feel come the day.
You are to true Wigan Athletic Supporters as Cyryl Smith was to hang-gliding.
Watch the game please………………
fine line in opinions, however, it is not how I saw him. Off the ball play, covering (by watching and planning) other space. FFS if he was that cr@p why has he been our most consistently selected player?
We need to move on from picking on players and get back to…………errmmm! right!….supporting them. Get behind them – sing their name. I’ve said it before…
…Stop the Rot……………..Talk us up.

So its ok to be banned for shennanigans with a drugs test (football related) but not to have an affair (totally unrelated with football), o aye, great decision Capello (though the suits probably made it for him).Trouble is now, the press have found Capello’s weak spot, they’ll exploit this to the full and if Ferdinand so much as breaks wind in the wrong place, they’ll be calling for his head as captain as well. Capello should have said what Terry has done is wrong, but he’s broken the rules of life not the laws of the land or any FA rules.
Two fingers should have been raised firmly to the press by Mr Capello for me
Bravo Mr Abram…………….we are now seeing that the truth be out. I agree that the ‘press’ are determined to destroy any possible chance there be of any success in the future. They truely are the 30th century 5th columnists.
Hey……………………that’s the bl00dy masons for you.
.
Actually, Ashley Cole was doing 104mph as he heard John Terry’s car was outside his houseYour pathetic attempt to deflect by using (as your first post  ) a ‘steal’ from the joke thread – reflects your agenda.
It’s becoming too commonplace.
Hmmmmm.
Let’s look at the question – “How Bad Is Our Support” (sic)
ES2 – Loud, sometimes stupid, young and thrusting – just what we need….and that drum is just contagious – quality future there methinks. Rest of East Stand almost equally impressive.
South Stand – ‘compact but bijou, Rodney’ – those that have seats there always attend – no more no less – tend to join in with East when singing.
Springfield stand – The Enigma. The real hardcore….been since 1935, true, loyal, fierce, underrated, ex “springfield runners” (back in the day), to the end, through thick and thin supporters. (Was enjoying a bit of ‘corporate’ during the Everton game and revelled in the spectacle of an angry guy turning, waving and taunting – twice – the 50 or so Everton ‘Guests’ when their goal was disallowed). I’ll give it to the Springfield Stand, they may be the quietest, but they certainly retain the passion they have brought from the Park days.
How Bad Is Our Support?………………Not bad at all actually.
Proud to be one of them.

Easy-Peasy, this.
You, my socially engineered friend, have neither the intellect nor astuteness to make that claim – however many straws you grasp – don’t flatter yourself. You have indeed become the ‘coco’ amongst the clowns. As stated before, I have no need to explain myself to anyone, and my loyalties are beyond reproach. It is you that ‘should have gone to specsavers’.
Surely you don’t mean the brothers Grim
As for you Mr Owd…………………….I really expected better. A little disappointing coming from someone normally associated with clear, loyal, balanced opinion on all things Latics. Beware of fil’s board duster ;)

It’s all getting a little tiresome on here. In standing up for reason and understanding, I appear to be alienating a lot of people. Perhaps I’d better just clam up and let the dark side get on with it. I will never change their views anyway.
PS If fil and Bob have balanced opinion, then I don’t want it.
Mr Owd
just to be clear I was referring to you as the one with clear, loyal and balanced opinion. Sometimes a rocking boat needs a steady hand on the tiller. ;)
I’ll give you that one Vat….it is a fairly good read (for an article…. ;) )
However, and I’m sure some of the older ones will also remember this, I still have vivid memories of George Best dressed in Carnaby’s finest, champagne glasses galore, flash car and a bird on each arm………
……………….and all that in the public eye (now he was a blokes bloke). There were others just like him.
I don’t think they are any different…………….I think that we just see them that way.
Just an opinion of course.

Honestly….. has no one seen that the persona is a collective of writers (now that really is multi). The, oh so different at times, writing styles, grammar, opinions; oh dear! Who else would call for the ‘suspension’ of this site….
Tell me ‘Dave’…which one of you is the Reborn Christian?
Priceless.
