Just remember, if stop off at sea to ask for directions, don’t ask “which way to Holland?”
Seems he’s a decent player, as for the deal…think its been on for a while, just waiting on Utd to give the nod, no rush though.
Doncaster seem to have been really unlucky today,3 up at Charlton, concede one and game gets abandoned….Donny fans must be absolutely gutted.
How Wigan RL anticipate having 30,000 fans in the stadium when they haven’t sold 10,000 tickets is beyond me. As for a 3rd set of 10,000, doubt that has ever been an option. Still Wigan RL and their fans living in a dream world when it comes to attendances is older news than Hitler invading Poland.
As for the game, if they win, its a great achievement for the towns 2 teams to lift the Cup trophies, if they don’t then so what.
Sunday v Boro is far more important.
It may not need to be shown in Thailand, however, I’m sure due to the events of the last 8 years and in particular May 11 2013, many people in that country are far more aware of the name Wigan Athletic FC then any other team which chooses to play in the town.
The original back in 1987, contained the totally unrealistic line of “One day we’ll be at Wembley, winning the FA Cup” B)
Judging by Neil Lennon’s comments, if we get Shakter Karagandy, might be ruddy impossible to get there, Celtic have had problems getting visas to get in to Kazakhstan and they’ve got to play there! If the club struggles to get visas, not sure us mere spectators stand much chance.
Sure it was after 99, we played over Easter at Luton and our kit was a combination of green, yellow and red….pretty sure the shirts were green that day.
Did wonder about it being David Edgar….heard its Leon Barnett from Norwich
When Birmingham got into Europe and were relegated they had a prelim round where the Conference winners played the Conference play-off winners in a one off game. Think that game was Crawley V AFC Wimbledon (2 southern teams). Think they’ve had to give Reading a bye because the same thing this year would have meant Mansfield v Newport (Northern v Southern team)
Just shows like all clubs we have our clowns following us…..god that Stephen Sage has had a hard life following our club, in 14 years he’s had to write to the paper 3 times to express his disappointment.
Just think what he’d be like if we had done nothing as a club in that time
Heard the interview on TalkSport…think its fair to say Kinnear’s not endeared himself to the Geordies.
He apparently signed Tim Krul…..Kinnear arrived at NUFC 3 years after Krul, Hatem Ben Afree and Shola Annemobi are just a couple of their players and Derek Lambeezee is a Newcastle employee.
If it was an employee of WAFC speaking I’d be ashamed, furious and embarrassed, as its the Geordies, its just funny.
…and some people in Wigan think Whelan’s an idiot, god only knows they’d make of a clown like Ashley running the club
It’ll be areas near the benches that people will have to move from, think UEFA have different rules regarding seating for team members etc…or something like that.
No alcohol on the concourses as well….this may or may not be bad news, depending on your opinion of the concourse pint
Totally understand Bob’s reasons for wanting to move on….at some point he has to take a step up in club which Everton would undoubtedly be. This just feels different to the last couple of seasons, think whatever happens at Goodison, we need to move on now, maybe it would be better if Bob left us now.
