Pathetic son. Stick to yer word. Your not welcome here. Like a fan would come and laugh just cos we have fell into the bottom 3 on goal difference given the injuries we have had. Laugh now cos it won’t last! Have the past seasons taught ya nowt?
Kone set up Mccarthy at start of second half. Set up Gomez chance that hit bar. Had great run at end where he set up Gomez chance when Green saved well. Cant remember Franco setting up much but he did miss a sitter in first half when he was so obviously one footed he miskicked it then he had another chance second half where he balooned it 40ft in air to Beausejour on wing. No wonder Bobby dragged him off to replace him with another Argentinian international!
We aint gonna make the next step up without a better striker thats for sure. These are the facts. Di Santo has averaged around a goal every 8-9 games in the English premier league. Kone a goal every 3-4 up to now. This follows on from a season where he scored around a goal every 2 games in La Liga. Passing woeful? Can’t hold ball up? Today I agree he was poor but most games he has been excellent. Even the usually negative pundits on MOTD singled him out. Which goals of Francos kept us up? He scored 3 goals from Christmas as I recall and one was against Wolves in last match.
Di Santo was great? He looks ok until he’s near the box. Afraid we can’t carry a forward who shows such little attacking intent and has one of the worst goalscoring records in the premier league for a striker who has played over a hundred games. Kone was bad today but still looked more dangerous. Gomez was yet again our best player. All our penetrative attacking play came through him and he looks as dangerous as any midfielder in the country. Get the defence settled and we will be alreet.
Maybe at start of season. Not too many would now. His performance at Old Trafford was woeful too. Certainly the best I’ve seen in my 30 years of supporting club. Though Tony Penock takes some beating!
Never heard that one either! What I will agree on is the chants re cornershops in games against Bolton and Ingerlund chants at the Bradford match which are of a racist nature. Remember at springy when Kevin Francis broke Griffiths leg in the semi final the entire ground was singing ‘you black ba—-d’. It was undoubtedly worse then than it is now but am sure most clubs (in fact most Towns) have a few in the ground. Guess its up to the stewards or police to decide if an offence has been committed!
Well I have sat in ES2 every home game since we have been in the Prem and I can categorically state there has never been hissing against Spurs. You need your ears testing!
As the title of the thread was ‘When fans take things too far’ i would guess Mauler was simply being ironic. Filmoss giving it the big one now. ‘PM me and we can sort it out. Ill fight anyone me’. Give it a rest!
Goal scoring record similar to Di Santo in his time here despite being a midfielder who starts majority of games on bench. Always gets in right places and constantly looks for killer pass more than any other midfielder we have. He isn’t a typical English style midfielder and often looks slow and is weak tackling but most fans can’t understand that ain’t his game. Improved every season he has been here. Unfortunately our fans are unbelievably fickle. How many times this season do we hear it? Watson should never put the shirt on again. Beausejour a disgrace. Ramis out of his depth. Boyce finished. Gomez ain’t on his own!
If you can get better entertainment than that yesterday for £13 per game equivalent of my season ticket good luck to you.
Both are odds on with us hovering around 3-1. Its still early doors and though it looks promising the time to assess is around Christmas. I personally cant imagine a season without a relegation fight and its got me thinking:
Whats the very most Roberto could achieve with Wigan. If he did finish us in the top 10 could we realistically ever achieve any more?
Franco needs to be wary of believing all the hype. His goalscoring record is bloody woeful take it all round and despite the fact he has been in better form since April 3 good months it dont make him a superstar.
In all probability he will see the bright lights and go for the money. If Charles Nzogbia has struggled and Victor Moses is benched i really cant see Di Santo setting the world alight at this stage in his career.
About 11 games ago.
With Di santos goal scoring record of 12 goals in 96 games in England I can’t see clubs going wild for him. Much improved last few months but overall am still not overtly convinced.
Seems strange this has come out when he has just sent off two of their players and very recently one of their players has been involved in a high profile ‘making racist comments’ case.
Complete coward! On a serious note how can a club actually stop a lunatic jumping onto the pitch and hitting the keeper? Am always slightly bemused when they fine clubs for their fans behaviour. Surely it’s the individuals fault rather than the clubs? If 40 militant lunatics decided to pitch up in our end and invade the pitch in balaclavas how can you stop it?
