Is there only me looking forward to the match on Saturday?

All the anger and pi**edoffness has subsided and I just can’t wait to get to the DW and shout my head off for the lads.

Anyone else feel the same or has Bobbyswigan and his ilk worn you down?

Who remembers the day in 1978 when we were elected to the football league? To see people in tears at the joy of this achievement was great. FRT final at Wembley, swapping shirts and scarves with fellow supporters of Brentford. I could go on, but the one that we couldnt dream of was v Reading. The celebrations at the end and the excitment again had some fans in tears.
Now were in our 5th premiership season and for me its excitment before every match. For us to be on a level playing field with the likes of Spurs, City, Utd, Scousers etc is for me a bigger achievement than any other club in the country.
So, you know who you are, why all the criticism? To carry on like this, I dont think youre a Wigan Athletic supporter, just an egg chaser who is still angry at Whelan.

i actually missed the kick off in our ist prem game, because i had tears in my eyes and couldnt see,it still brings a lump to my throat when the first whistle goes.

              Hopefully he won’t b e able to post for a while now…….

It’s not permanent, but when the ban is lifted, if he persists again it will be permanent.

In the meantime enjoy the break.

              thanks Jayt.

dave whelan is bleedy our club dry not only that he slags ours crowds off i am very glad i did not get a season ticket i am sick ov this happening to wigan athletic he sells the best players and does not spend his money. i would like to see how much money he as took since january this season and what he spent upto now plus the money from the premier league i would say about 80mil roughly. our crowds are dropping rapidly and here it is to prove it http://www.tonykempster.co.uk/prematt.htm. i think if we would have said no to selling the players our club will attract bigger crowds. roberto martinez will be a good manager for wigan i hope but i think its a bit early for him to manage a premier league club but hope im wrong. but for dave whelan he needs to wake and think with getting loan players and needs to buy quality soon before its too late but he wont spend big. but i have had enough from now i will pick my games from now on,

How can you say “our” crowds are dropping, then come out with such dribble.Get behind the team you might find it a refreshing change.

As bad as King is, it would be total dereliction of duty to leave us with just 2 recognized strikers.

Agree, but perhaps Martinez views Kapo as an alternative (when he’s fit) and possibly Koumas.

Maybe Scharner has now decided he’s actually striker.[/quote]
i think maybe CYWKA may get a chance up front he knows where the goals are.

why do most posters on here claim to a)know what our players earn b) know what we spend income on c) blame everything on dave whelan?

no one on here knows for sure what each player earns and knows anything about how the clubs finances are distributed, we dont know what income we get from sponsers etc and the only income we roughly know is the sky £40m which seems to be spouted from the media. So unless we find this out stop claiming rubbish after 5 games of the season.

Yeah were all disappointed about the players that have left but valencia, heskey and palacios all moved to bigger clubs with better prospects, fact.

We have to be optimistic yes but also realistic.

                            good post

the middle of this bus is touching the floor and the wheels are coming off the ground, ithink we need someone to go up front and to the back to even things up a bit.

Someone else mentioned this, I can’t understand it.

With 5 in midfield, you’d think he’d create width by playing left footed NZogbia on the left and right footed Koumas on the right. Why narrow everything down by playing them on the wrong side? Might as well go back to Lee Mac!

its so we have 3 forwards in the proximity of the goal area when attacking
whilst making a 3 in midfield to pick up scraps and keep the momentum
the question is can we make it work.Take a look at Barca when they attack.
