BTW Bronxbomber – have you seen there’s a radio programme on R4 at 7pm on Wednesday evening “100 Years of the New York Yankees: A Bronx Tale”?
Thanks for the info I’ll be tuning in :)
I have been watching football for 50+years and Gomez is the worst, laziest, player I have seen to get continually picked by the manager week in week out. QPR went down to 10 men,… we started with 10 men What does Martinez see in him??? :( :( :(
What about us Share Holders we get no preference at all… :(
My mate Steve Goulding, has missed one game( league and cup, not counting friendlies) since 1996. Can anyone beat that? ;)
We wont be going to the game from the hotel and we will only be going there after the game, late on. Train and hotel for £45.00 It is O.K. for me I don’t mind a half hour train ride from Victoria. :)
Me and 4 others ;) we are staying at the Queens Hotel Crystal Palace
I’m looking for two ambulant tickets but there isn’t an Ambulant category in the listing(On line) and Norma from the ticket office said that there were concessionary Ambulant tickets available.. Looks like I’ll have to get down there in person? :(
A great draw. Against a similar sized club to ourselves
and at one of our oldest rivals.
Come on Martinez play the first team in the replay
at Dean Court and change this dull ugly style we play
and give us a smile.
A little bit of thought about a trip to Wembley
would help lift the depression your tactics are giving
the Latics fans.
Come on Bob most of us want you to do well
but watching Nob End under Beck was more
interesting than what we have now!!!What an incentive for the trip to Bournemouth, a fourth round trip to Macclesfield.
I wasn’t that bothered if we won or not at Bournemouth after watching that rubbish yesterday, why should we care when the manager doesn’t give a damn. My thoughts have changed now with the thought of a trip to one of our old foes.
I agree with what you are saying DP, even disregarding yesterdays debacle we are watching the most boring football I have ever witnessed in 45 years as a Latics fan.
Paul Jewell got slagged of to high heaven on here, as did Steve Bruce for having no plan B, Martinez doen’t appear to have a plan A apart from playing keepy ball.
I think we need a change as this last 4 years has really bored the life out of me apart from the odd game here and there.
goodpost goodpost goodpost My sentiments exactly
Quote””We’re really excited about Angelo because he is a very young man with huge potential. He’s a goal-scorer with clever movement inside the box and had a very successful time with his former club Universidad.”
We’ll soon knock that out of him ;)I think the game was all over in the first 10 minutes 0-3 :(
I’ve played for Argentina and I’m now worth £40k a week don”t you know
To be honest I would have more respect for Martinez, as a person, ( Still don’t think he is a good manager) If for once he came out and said “We were Rubbish Today but I’ll be sorting it out on the training field on Monday” Instead of making the same old lame excuses. i.e.Tired, Defensive Mistakes which we must cut out (but never do). There aren’t many other teams whose regular score against Manchester United has been 4-0.
Martinez “I was Happy with the players, We Were tired. 4 games in 11 days BLah Blah Blah” BOB… So has every other team.
SAME old excuses.. and diatribe which would take a Philadelphia lawyer to understand what he his saying.
I didn’t expect us to win today but that display was PATHETIC. No understanding in the defence. But Hey we’re still learning.. It’s only 3 years :S Did you see Di Santo running off the field when he was substituted? It was the fastest he had run all afternoon.
Keep running lad all the way to Liverpool. He ain’t as good a Jason Scotland.Jr has done nothing since leaving, we don’t have the money to get a proven goalscorer, if we did they probably wouldn’t come, since benson went we don’t have the nouse to scout a prospect. That’s the top and bottom of it.
The joys of being a latics fan, oh for a decent cup run, oh never mind.
J.D. my point is we have had the money. The money we have spent on this lot in 6 years???( has anyone the figures?) We could have bought Lionel Messi. On the other hand you’ve got to ask yourself “Are they all Useless” or is it the way we play????
In a previous spat I cant be arsed looking back for we had spent £89 million since enterimg the Prem and recouped £91 million hardly enough to recruit Messi
If those figures are correct. Where has all the Sky and TV money gone??? seeing as on an earlier post, someone said that the wage bill was £27 million.
