I would say Diame is currently one of the best midfielders in the country. Its his first season in the Premier League and he looks absolute quality everytime he plays. How anyone can criticise him is beyond me. I thought we were excellent last night and up till the sending off dominated the game in the backyard of the wealthiest club in the world. Loads of positives to take into the games coming up as long as we bin that dodgy keeper!
Not fit enough, simple as. Playing with one striker we need plenty of goals from midfield, he just can’t get into the box fast enough. One of the best midfielders in the country?? I don’t think so.

Let’s class em as not being fit for the job, which Heskey, Camara, Chimbonda, Cattermole, Palacios, Valencia and co were so obviously very competent in, (whether you’d heard of them or not) from the off. They slotted straight in. Although I think Moses and McCarthy are promising, they’re not the finished article. I think considering our turn over in players, Martinez could be urinating in the wind with his transfers. The squad looks a little thread bare as it is, this summer we could lose Nzog, Hugo and maybe Fig. When Martinez came he spoke very highly of the number of players he’d scouted with Kevin Reeves?

Thats exactly my point. We have a high turn over of players here and we need players ready for the first team. We lost Brown, Cats and Valencia over the summer and havnt replaced em in my view.

None of those signings are what I would call TOP signings. In your own words you say Mccarthy looks like hes GOING be a great player, then give me a load of excuses to why the others arent.We paid decent money for Mccarthy, and hes spent half the season in the reserves. Not much different to the fee we paid for Cattermole. We need players who are ready for the 1st team.So what are the chances of these four progressing? McCarthy possibly I grant you. What about the other signings, Gohouri, Ameya? the goalkeeper, I won’t even mention Scotland and Gomez. Oops.

Mccarthy, Caldwell, Moreno and Moses. You think these are good signings? None of these players are the finished article. Mccarthy looks to be promising I grant you, but still has a lot to learn. Give me Cattermole, Palacios, Valencia and Heskey any day.I think unzie has a point regarding signings. If I was uncle Dave, I’d be very wary handing Bobby my hard earned.

Well you should do, you seem to like comedians.Now i have said more than once on this site that i will not judge bobby this season,one of the reasons being he stated he needed 3 transfer windows,now with what he has said about certain players spudhead had left us with (kapo,de ridder just to name 2)he needs more time to build the squad because on paper these players are capable of playing prem football but arnt.Theres been some real tosh spouted on here by fans(reluctant to call you that,bobs words so you know what he thinks of you).I think bob will turn it round,and anybody who as read his book will know he his a very clever man were football is concerned.It is now starting to turn into a witch hunt now with the booing and no doubt the next step will be chanting for his head.Get behind bob and support him and what he his trying to do fo us he has a real love for this club so give him the time he needs and support him and i am sure we will reap the rewardsI’ll give u another 2 Ace, Gomez and Scotland.
