When you play a 4-4-2 formation you should consider strikers in the starting lineup !! :silly:

Perhaps he thinks they’re not worth putting in and
And how would you know this if you don’t play them from the start ?, doesn’t a new manager mean a level playing field for all ? fresh start. There are lots of players who don’t light up the training pitch but prefer a competitive match to show their worth. Delort has had roughly 7 minutes of play under MacKay and Reira ?.
I personally think this has nothing to do with the player himself but more to do with money and bonuses/appearances etc. All will be revealed in the Jan window were at least 4-6 players will be gone and one or two unlikely faces as well.

We should stop going on about the 1-2-3 or even none upfront debate, what about the defence ?? we’ve scored in 6 in our last 8 games but failed to keep a clean sheet in only 2. Some of the goals conceded would have been avoided over at Laithwaite park on a Saturday or a Sunday
I think the manager can make a good enough judgement about players he sees day in and day out on the training pitch. And, either way, it’s his choice.

As for the paragraph after that about money and bonuses, that’s some imagination you’ve got going on there.
So his judgement on playing Espinoza is a good one ? I think your imagination is on par with Pixar

3-5-2 … 3 central defenders and wing backs with defence been the main priority. Boyce managed to convert to the role of a wing back a few year ago so I don’t see why some of the younger guys can’t.

But we must stop leaking goals daft goals, those at Sheff Weds were laughable watching Ramis was like watching unders 6’s swarm towards the ball

Have followed the Tics since 1968, and have to say that yesterday felt like the lowest of the low. Okay, in the distant past we’ve had pretty tough times but then again our expectations weren’t too great. Now we have a team of pretty decent players that should be able to hold their own in the Championship, let alone challenge for promotion; and none of them ( Boycey apart ) wouldn’t feature in my all time Latics squad !

I originally thought we had one of the best squads in the Division, I’ve now changed my opinion on that. It’s a squad made up of “good players” and not 1 game changer amongst them.

Pay them on performance and by Christmas Day they’d all be driving Nissan Micra’s dressed in their George jacket n slacks. They must quietly pish themselves when the put their debit cards in the hole in the wall

He’s merely pointing out that he “use” to call it Chingalings, that was the era he and millions of others grew up in, wrong now but it happened so live with it.

He is not saying he still uses this term nowdays he’s drawing reference to his past, good or bad ? it doesn’t matter, it happened or shall we wipe every reference ever made to other races and cultures through time gone by and never draw back so we can all move forward ?.

Standish , so you are saying it is wrong to say ” When I was younger I called it the Chinky chippy” ?
I commend him for saying it as it was , there’s not dinks/bangs/dents/nicks/scrapes in his armour . . . . I didn’t want to offend you and the 1.4 billion chinese reading this

I think the reason the FA are dragging their heels with the MacKay incident is the repercussions if the FA were to find him guilty, privacy laws have to be taken into consideration.

I personally don’t the FA will taken action, can you imagine it, the FA having to investigate every claim regarding racist remarks sent from footballers phones in a one 2 one private text or email ?.

If its just those texts (or even similar additional ones that have yet to come to light) then the FA can’t do anything. Aside from privacy laws they set themselves a precedent when they said they couldn’t charge Scudamore with anything when his former secretary leaked what some deemed sexist emails, on the grounds that it was private communication between 2 individuals
What I’ve read the delay is in either charging or not charging him, is that they want to investigate whether there are any texts/emails in the public domain and/or whether they type of language used in the ones currently known about is indicative of a culture of prejudice operated by Mackay when he was in charge at Cardiff.
The comments from the South Korean player’s agent would indicate that there wasn’t whilst the comments that have come from the player who claims he was known as the “wee Eyptian” would indicate that others felt there was (or may have been).
So aside from just looking through the texts & emails provided to them by Cardiff I think they’re also going to be interviewing staff at the club
Of course they can! They are not looking to bring criminal charges, this is an internal football charge loosely based on the old “bringing the game into disrepute” scenario. Wehther they should, or whether they want to risk someone counter-suing the is another matter altogether.
For the game to be brought into disrepute that would mean someone going public denouncing something or someone within the game, text sent privately cannot do this. If “wee egyptian” is bringing the game into disrepute then there’s fook all down for the wee jock Barry Bannan

Why didn’t he mention about the text been private and the FA’s previous statements regarding private text and how they don’t get invloved

Rio Ferdinand want’s to remember before he blasts off he’s was a twitter sent for all to see not like that nob at Liverpool , MacKays was private.

I thought the texts were sent on a Cardiff owned phone? Otherwise how would Tan have known about them? Malky is hardly MI5 material
Wasn’t Iain Moody under investigation and a court order to search Moody’s home hence hard drives and phones were searched. MacKay was in the process of a 7.5 million pound claim against Tan and Tan was looking for 1 scrap of evidence to get the claim thrown out. The day after the text were found MacKay dropped his claim.
The agent in question , Phil Smith , is he related to Larry Fine ?

We seem to hark on about 2 up front , loan striker crap, average players bought in but what we have forgot to mention is the goals we concede and how poor the defence and goals conceded are.

MacKay needs to concentrate on defence first and everything else 2nd,

Every game starts off with a point in the bag, the problem is, we just never finish that way

Because that would offend certain parties, people like Tan destroy football

”abusive and/or insulting and/or constitute improper conduct and/or bring the game into disrepute”

Am I right in thinking that no racist charges have been dished out ?

the charge also states that it is an “aggravated breach” as it included a reference to ethnic origin and/or race and/or nationality and/or belief

I don’t know whether that constitutes a charge of racism or not
