All the best Ryan. We were pushing up the league that season. The sale of Taylor Palacios and Heskey knocked us back in the greed league. In deed that was the start of the steady decline and with further sales and the stubburness of Martinez it resulted in our inevitable relegation and further decline.
However get cracking in those free kicks again Ryan.Don’t make excuses for that scum egg thug by turning it round to our family game. I for one and many others would watch our club at whatever level and whatever the results and have a moan and groan and be experts in our own way but turn our backs, never!
This is our club and we love it so by all means watch your egg thugs but please don’t come on here and broadcast the fact you want to turn your back because many of us wouldn’t and especially so to turn your back on us to the trespassing parasitic cuckoos.Thing is Pemp we didn’t play much decent stuff last season under Uwe. Remember some very close wins with some poor displays and some stinkers like Blackpool Millwall Yeovil etc. Fantastic away at Forest and at New Springfield against Leicester and Reading. Brilliant resilience at Wembley int cup and at City and Cardiff but many results were ground out without being too spectacular and without the high pressing attacking football. Something seems really wrong this time though with the ground out result type games only grinding out one point and not two. May be it is just that the squad is so much weaker than last season.
Marks out of ten for yesterdays midfield
McClean 2,rarely got a cross in to our striker but this would help if players were in the box to pass to.
Forshaw 2, bullied and outplayed by a better Brentford midfield.
Cowie 1, was he on the pitch?
Maloney 4, a bit busier than Forshaw or Cowie but no where near his best yet,
McManaman 2, starved of the ball
Any changes for Tuesday? It is about time we played a settled side but possibly we could play with one winger and push Callum up front with Riera but its Rosler who knows best.
“Can’t believe it Uwe Rosler played the same team two games running”
Bloody hell theyre bigger hooligans than that Wiggin Rugby thug who ran on an knocked yon Saints mon out then bravely battered him when he was out cold. Must be the steds.
Shusshh Horc don’t give an opinion La!
Plus we got to play in that stadium and who knows we may even own it plus weve seen three fantastic promotions, an Auto Windscreens Trophy, A league Cup Final and an FA Cup win and semi final. We also have got to play against and see some of the worlds greatest players and see our Latics beat them. Oh and Wigan Athletic in Europe. Just say those words again. FA Cup winners and Wigan Athletic in Europe!
Go on again FA Cup winners and Wigan Athletic in Europe. Amazing! The greatest story in the history of British football and we have all witnessed it.
FFS Dave much gratitude from me for letting me live a dream and if Dave has creamed 600 million off Sky in the process, well done Dave.
We are in a great stadium playing against great clubs still and not piss wet through and shivering at Springy playing South Liverpool on a Wednesday. However if we were back in non league and playing Chorley or Alty again piss wet through on a Wednesday evening I would still be there because this is my great little club!!Agree Leyland 9 points are a must but the way things are panning out this season they will be far from guaranteed.
Much better driving now Longmeanygate is open. That was a right pain for over a year.Griff has a good point here because without the experience as a player and the Car, House, Birds and Lifestyle of the modern pro footballer the average mon on here would not fit in and they may even keep the same team two matches running, not rest players who played well in their last match, pick the best team, play players in position, not pick their favourites, play fast flowing attacking football and play their strikers together as strikers. But alas without those lifestyle factors fortunately non of us would ever get that opportunity.
Well not many of us on here could have done much worse than are mon and the Noblot mon this season.
Herr Swappenchange will be worrying then, as their records this year are quite similar.
Do they worry anymore? Coyle left with a nice wedge off Latics and a bigger one off Noblot.
Don’t think they will be worrying about tax credits or housing benefit or even signing on not like the fans who follow football.
Got to admit the odd million stashed away here and there would be quite handy.Coyle out! Sorry Coyle had a better record than this Mon.
Coyle out!
Fantastic point considering the changes of players and formation. A point gained despite of the manager. Two points lost because of the manager. Could out!
