I saw Fyvie play a few weeks ago for the reserves (sorry, Development Squad).Have to say there was nothing special. Nothing wrong – I just wouldn’t be leaping up and down insisting he has a first team place.
So RM fcuked up buying him then ? If Watson was not used hardly if at all in the great escape of last season then I am baffled as to why he is used now, especially with the evidence thus far that he is way below the standard of the Prem !

Miyaichi plays a completely different role and position to Watson and as for Fyvie, unless you’ve seen him playing against a Leyland Window Cleaners Select XI, then I have no idea how you know he’s a better player than Watson. ;)

No I haven’t seen FF play but I have it on very good authority ( Aberdeen Fan ) that he is a very good player when fit. Now with Watson in a very bad vein of form and the fact that he didn’t really figure in the great escape last season then why include him now ? If the other options are no longer here then surely RM should have bought in replacements ! At the moment Watson offers nothing to the side and hasn’t done many times before, I do not understand why RM perseveres with him ? I just hope that RM’s obstinate side doesn’t come to the fore again ( Not opening the 4-5-1 can of worms again ! ) B)
The managers prerogative doesn’t necessarily mean that a player is of a certain standard, it is merely just an opinion ! Gomez has put in a couple of decent shifts so far this season but IMO he is no World beater ! Watson on the other hand gives me cause for concern and it beggars belief that he gets on the team sheet let alone the starting 11 !!

The fact that Boselli got a brace is encouraging, especially with what has happened thus far since he first signed for us ! I would like to see him getting some more pitch time in the league just to see if he really is up to it at that level !

Agreed. We all need to chill out and remember this season is a Snickers not a sprint lol2 out of 10. Must try harder !! :dry:

Sorry Salford but after his team selection yesterday I fail to see how you can congratulate Roberto. Di Santo not playing in a team that struggles to score goals and Bob doesn’t pick a striker to replace him we get Gomez.

That’s fair enough Filmoss, I think I understand what you are getting at. Obviously the system isn’t perfect and there will always be some vile people that get away with the most hideous of crimes. However, if we did change the system, what’s to stop you or I getting hung when some low life decides to throw a false accusation at you? The system and no system will ever be perfect. It’s hundreds of years in development and it’s not like there is much of an alternative system.Sorry John, I’m far too young to know what you are talking about with that one ;)
I am always one of the first people to knock back the Middle England knee jerk bring back hanging crew. Each case is different and I can appreciate how difficult it can be sometimes to bring justice to the fore but on the whole I don’t have much confidence in the system.Some changes do need to be made but hanging is not the answer !
