Our next league game is Rochdale at home and we should win that one. If we don’t beat Rochdale at home then we can start worrying about some sort of capitulation !
Maybe Cook used our advantageous league position to hatch a plan. Throwing the last 2 games whilst playing shockingly bad in order to lull City into a false sense of security! Could be the master plan of the season!
Morsy now only misses one League game instead of two if he’d got booked after the City game. The City game is actually an irrelevance so he may as well miss that one.
Maybe that was the plan? The City game wasn’t an irrelevance to Morsy, hence why he was so reluctant to hustle and impose himself tonight (and reportedly on Saturday). We sent out a team with players looking to avoid cards, injury…..or where plain knackered to start with.
Cook’s also made it clear players won’t be dropped for poor form.
We had quality options to make half a dozen changes and not weaken us. They’d have been fresh, hungry and fighting for a place against City and beyond. It’s all well and good Cook saying it’s easy to look back with hindsight. But after Saturday, to a person, they were saying freshen it up. It feels like the last two defeats are down to poor management decisions.
Now, with the chasing pack capitalising, games are mounting up. Cook will no longer be able to point to us being top of the table to excuse an underwhelming performance. We’ll be the one doing the chasing, and it could be from third spot.
It will be from 3rd spot as I don’t think many will fancy Bury’s chances at Ewood, themselves included !
Don’t get me wrong, I think we have been immense this season and fully back cook, hornet his decision in the last 2 games have been questionable. Every player wants to play against the best they can, and arguably City are the best in the world at the moment. All our players would want to pay against them including morsey. His last 2 performances and that of the team have been below par , and for me it is because of this impending game.
Unless Perkins is injured why not play him? Twofold it’s against his old club and it gives Morsey his chance against City.Cook blew it tonight.
Perkins doesn’t play for us anymore!
Looks like I am wrong, he still does! I thought he went to Bury or someone like that? Must have dreamt it :)
got to yours at five to seven. Waited till seven. Still had time to park in usual spot walk to ticket office. Give up on the ineptness of our system and paid on gate at bottom end of East and still made kick off. That was shocking and it could have been even worse.Riveting and embarasing fan forum????
Terrible grammar as well! ;)
I bet majority on here have no idea who he is/was.Bit of a pointless post that Dave! No need really!
Far too young, tragic news!
There are videos of Stanley Choi playing poker on YouTube. I just have the horrible feeling this will all go very pear shaped and once he is bored of being involved with us, we will be allowed to go down the pan. This is a guy who risks millions playing poker, as a plaything. He is gambling on us getting into the Premier League, where the big bucks are. But what seriously concerns me is, I doubt very much he will be doing it for the benefit of Wigan Athletic, and should any big money come our way, it may well end up on the poker tables of Asia.
Honest to God, selling us to people with no interest in football? No knowledge or idea of football? And people who do things at a financial whim for a bit of a plaything of interest….Christ on a bike! I dread to think how this is going to end up. I am genuinely shocked at the Whelans for selling to this group. I get that they’ve probably had an offer too good to turn down, but there’s no way this sale will have the long term interests of Latics at the forefront, no matter what they say. That’s absolute bullshit. We are being bought as a whim. Oh dear God. I’m hoping the Football Association put the khybosh on this deal. Doubt they will Though.
This is going to be disastrous, in my opinion. I said recently that there won’t be a Latics as we know it in 5 years time. I am even more convinced now.
As for kits, Adidas would be my preference.
Well Mr VAT, what do you suggest ?
Maybe should smash your piggy bank and put in a counter offer :woohoo:
Are you always so negative ?
Am I always so negative?
Yeah, when I can see my football club being sold down the river. Damn right I’m fucking negative about it. Its a miracle if the football league let this lot near Wigan Athletic.
When it all goes tits up and goes badly wrong and you are all crying and having hissy fits about it, I won’t take any pleasure in being right, but I’ll come on here and ask you all if you are happy now about the situation and what’s happened. You can think what you want of me, but I’ve followed football long enough and been involved in it enough to see the warning signs. Vincent Tan, the original fella at City… Seen it all before. I actually think I’d sooner have Whelan sell us back to Kenyon, than dome whimsical gambler from Hong Kong. Jesus tonight, this is a fucking nightmare.
Don’t worry, I’ll be here when we are back to the hardcore 3000 who are picking up the pieces. Although I’m not sure what we will have left to pick up. If Whelan really loves us as much as they crack on, he wouldn’t be selling to this lot. No way. He’s grabbed the money and is doing one. Enjoy LATICS whilst we can. I’m telling you…
This could quite possibly be one of your best yet! Ha ha ha !
17874 ………. Ahhh just remembered my sister in law is going
17875.
And my prize Horc????
Anyone who gets it exact can have the pleasure of having a pre match pint with ‘The Famous Two
Man Kop’ in The Brick prior to our last home game of the season, and I will pay. Good luck.
You’re never in The Brick these days! I’ll go for 16238 ;)
Happy to accept sponsorship from 188Bet and 12Bet though Vat?Not forgetting his mate Maurice Lindsay who he had on the board. Now what business was it that he ran!! ;)
A freezing cold night complete with horizontal rain and a few hard tackles should see the joy boys out of their comfort zone!
As a smoker it was good to find out yesterday that you can enjoy a sly puff outside at halftime where the East Stand joins the South Stand ! The far steps down and doors open for all us gaspers ! I was never one for a sly cig in the bogs but this will stop that and can only be a good thing no ?
And rightly so.
They opened one in the West Stand south corner against Bournemouth, but not sure if they ever have for a league game. I think they should for every match, what harm does it do anyone but the smokers.
Gates at ES10 open every half time for smokers to enjoy a cigarette! ;)
As far as I know they open all the doors and let you out, and have done for most of the seasonNot all the doors, just at the the end of the stand! First for me yesterday!
