It’s the Wigan way. If every game isn’t won convincingly then the Managers crap, the players are crap and the clubs on its arse.
We’re 6th in the table and TBH I don’t think we know our best XI yet properly.
The next few weeks will determine the season for me. If we can get out the busy period and still be in the top 6 then we’ve a massive chance of going up.
We haven’t known our best 11 for nigh on two and a half seasons! :silly:
At the end of the day it depends on what the actual club’s ambitions are at this present time. If a club needs to get back to the division it was just relegated from then I would imagine that they would get in an experienced manager. If on the other hand there is a certain lack of ambition at said present time then a club will do it on the cheap and fill the managerial position with someone from within the club! There is no rush to get back into the Championship it would seem!
If I was to say what a ridiculous suggestion this is are you going to come back all self-satisfied and claim you were only on a wind-up? Either way it’s pathetic.
How is ‘Middle England’ this morning Samantha? :)
1-0 to Blackpool. My internet is really slow at the moment and so this post might be late arriving!

If you think our two centre midfielders pushed up way too far we r in trouble and yes I am talking about perkins he gives nothing only sideway and back passes his forward passes seem to reach the opposition 90% of the time and before you say he works hard I agree he runs about all dayI mentioned this when we were about to sign him as a Blackpool fan mate of mine more or less told me what you just said! :)
We should be comfortably beating a side languishing at the bottom of the league, especially when we are the hosts as well!
At least the E2 lot won’t have to change the lyrics to that illiterate song they sing!
I guess 24th out of 72 ain’t that bad really, top third spot!
I suspect not.
The fixtures are shown as being played in week commencing 7 December, so playing on the 5th would be outside that.Yes – I know, I know – but competition organisers tend to be as pedantic as I am about such things.
Still worth asking the question, I suppose, but I suspect I know the answer.
Bloody pedants! ;)
I’ll annoy some with this but it gets on my wick how teams pass the ball at times straight through our midfield, i thought we controlled the game and it made Rochdale look poor i can’t wait for us to play Burton in my mind if we finish above them were up . Daniels at the back has his bad moments but what a ball he did for the second goal. Defo room for improvement and when you think its a completely new team the only way is up.Why Burton? What about the others who are currently above Burton?
Football provides a release for many people; a safety valve if you like where they can vent their seemingly irrational anger and frustrations. For the most part the abuse and vitriol they spout is not really meant. If you were to hear them an hour or so later they would most likely have a less aggressive attitude. And if it stops them going home hurling abuse at the wife and kids or kicking the dog then I suppose it could be viewed as a good thing.
Wow! How is it today up in that ivory tower !
Touched a nerve then did it?
Not really Vicar!

Listen, some sides do play a 4-4-2 and Burnley predominantly stuck to that formation the last time that they went up as did Leicester that same season and Leicester still on the whole stick to a rigid 4-4-2 formation, mind you it doesn’t seem to working for them in the top flight though does it!
I am not saying that 4-4-2 is the be all and end all of everything and sides should and do mix it up a bit but I am saying that it does exist in the Championship and higher! Some on here talk of it as being some sort of defunct football tactic that has been cast into the archives of football! Hull who are top of the table adopt a 4-4-2 formation as well by the way and I am sure that you will find many others high up the same league do also! Now of course during the games and due to circumstances sides will chop and change formations but they have always done that, it’s how you set up your stall beforehand that shows your intentions, the contingency plans will be in the managers head unless you are Roberto Martinez of course!I think Grant Holt inadvertently tells us all we need to know in this prank!
Bit of a different set-up at the club now
Yeah ok ! I personally ain’t bothered if he stays or goes but I am willing to wager he will be gone next season! ;)
