I doubt very much that these monitors are worn out of football time so to speak!

You’re right. They don’t wear them after training.
Was talking to a former player in the Spa at Aspull, I asked him about the gadget on his back and he explained what it was. The first thing they do when they report for training is plug um into a laptop or similar that downloads the data for the period since the last training session.

The technology these days is unbelievable, I think that footballers are so finely tuned that it just needs one little blip and they could be out for weeks.
He must have forgotten to hand his in when he left the training ground! They are not used outside of football!

Showing progression would mean getting at least a point and so I will go for the draw! What score? 0-0.

I cant wait for Haris Vuckic to be let loose on League One.
He scored more or less a goal every other game for Rangers last season in the championship.
Now some posters on here think that the Scottish championship is a higher standard of football than League one in England, therefore expect a goal a game from the lad when he is unleashed. B)

My comment was that both Rangers and Hibs are above average sides for that division and I reckon they would both go up if they were in League One.

To be fair I didn’t notice any other chairmen or managers saying that they would like to smash the league with 100 points and I’m sure there are many who would like to! Since the games changed to 3 points for a win there is only Fulham, ourselves and Charlton that have obtained 100 points in this League so it ain’t a common occurrence!
His exact words by the way were “I don’t just want to win this league,I want to smash it and get 100 points.” Make of that what you will but I still say it is a stupid thing to come out with, yet typical of a kid his age!

I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again, both Rangers and Hibs would beat us and most of the others in League One, they are above average sides for the division they are currently plying their trade in! As for clubs not wanting Tavs, I have been wondering of late why MK Dons didn’t want to buy their leading goalscorer ( Grigg ) from last season? Funny old game ain’t it!

You can say it a million times and I still wouldn’t be convinced. There is nothing to base your argument on whatsoever.
At least I’ve pointed out that the top team in the Scottish Championship contains a 35 year old has been up front and two players who have come from a team that got relegated to league one last season, yet both couldn’t break into the side on a regular basis.

Ask yourself this, would Tavs and Waggs displace James and Grigg? My answer would be categorically noooo!!

Take a look at the rest of the teams in that league, Queen of the South, Morton, Alloa etc etc. I would probably pick most of the league 2 teams to beat them.

Queen of the South who are currently level on points with Rangers and above Hibs had a crowd of just over 1,000 for their cup game with Morton and 1,700 on for their league game with Alloa the other week. I’m actually moving more to it being more conference standard as I type. How the hell can they afford to buy players unless its for a 5 figure sum or less, yet rangers couldn’t get out of that league last season.

Do a bit of research fil and stop listening to people who think they know more about players than the qualified staff who work with them day in and day out.
And here’s me thinking that Waghorn left due to his wages being too high!

I would imagine there’d be over 8k on, they should bring a few, we’re a big draw now ;)

When Jonathan Jackson came out with that ” Everybody will want to beat us ” he wasn’t fuckin wrong was he! ;) If we hadn’t been the footballing Goliath’s that he made us out to be then maybe teams wouldn’t have wanted to beat us eh! :) Talk about bullshit! Then the next idiot to step up to the plate says ” We will smash this league with 100+ points ” Delusions of grandeur if you ask me!

I would say that both Rangers and Hibs would have the measure over us if we played them! In fact I would wager about them both beating most of the sides in our League One!

Remember lads these two were not let go for football reasons. They would have fit comfortably into a side hunting 100pts in League 1 but their pay was for a side striving to get promoted from the Championship. Two things don’t mix in the austerity world of Latics.

So why didn’t we use them in said Championship?

Headless chicken was what the landlord of my local called him, he’s a Blackpool fan by the way! Said he will run all day long but when he does get the ball he will invariably give it away! God loves a trier though eh!

Can’t disagree a very good performance and we bossed that game from start to finish .
Best performance in 5 years?
Not sure about that after that Herculean run against arsenal and utd in 2012 but easily the best performance since the birmingham home game last August .
Hard to pick a motm but thought McCann gave a superb composed performance tonight

I was in Austin Texas back in 2012 and my Brother messaged me to to say that Wigan were playing like Brazil, it was halftime and they were 4-0 up against Newcastle, I managed to get a link to the game for the second half but I had missed the Brazilian magic!
