Don’t think you get many real restricted views in these new grounds. Not like evertons main stand where there’s seats right behind 4 foot wide girders.
Jason Roberts ….now he COULD roll a defender
Multi ball anyone?
Rip
…………..Getting away from the money league is already rekindling my interest. …………….
Same here – Could not have put it better myself.
Quality. One for soccer am.
Excellent – enjoyed that. 50 x better than the wigan wiggle (less said the better). Not sure it beats Ray Dorset and the Fabulous Latics circa 87 though.
Here’s a translation….. B)
The coaching the Spanish Wigan Roberto Martinez won at Millwall (0-2) at Wembley Stadium, to meet for the first time in its history the final of the FA Cup, a title he will bid against the winner of the match between Chelsea and Manchester City.
Led by Spanish also Jordi Gomez, who created the second and final action of both, Wigan, with eight years in the Premier, went a step further to widen his legend. Even Millwall, currently disputes the ‘Championships’, the second category English, has better historical trajectory in the Cup for the fourth time was a semifinalist and aspired to the second end of his story, after which he played in 2004.
Just before the half hour, a move the Ivorian Arouna Kone was culminated by Shaun Maloney. The Wigan had imposed their strength and took the lead. The London Millwall wanted to hold on to this historic occasion and found the equalizer in the second half. On several occasions, the goal of the Omani stalked Ali Al-Habsi, who held the league goal belongs to Joel Robles.
However, the emergence of Jordi Gomez closed out the match. The Spanish, who managed the pace at important moments of the crash, the second and final provided both signed by Callum McManaman in the absence of a quarter of an hour.
‘The greatest achievement of this club
Wigan, who each year fight against relegation in the Premiership, enjoy your first cup final in its 81 year history. “There has not been any bigger than this achievement for anyone involved with this club,” he said after the game Roberto Martínez. Wigan coach said the way to deal with the shock of his players. “We showed a good understanding of how to win. Players deserve enormous credit for that. Should be enjoying the occasion.”
“The pressure was on the players, who have been magnificent this afternoon.’ve Lived the dream of Wigan,” the Spanish who praised the goal of Callum McManaman, who lived hard times long ago and was criticized by his own fans. “I do not like to show emotions, but it was a great moment when Callum McManaman scored. Has been a campaign against Callum exaggerated by an unfortunate incident. Was found in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
El Dave Whelan told press how he had broken his lego in old final. Raelly Dave? You donta say…yawn. ps there’s only one Dave Whelan!!
Martinez may not be the man for the job… but we will make his job a lot flaming harder if he’s greeted with banners in the home end calling him for him to be sacked with 10 games to go. I repeat. What are the positives in doing that? Are we going to sack him and get a replacement in that will do a better job? No chance.
Personally, I think he was always going to be a gamble. I’ve no problem with that. Ultimately though I agree 100% with VAT69, I don’t care what league we are in if we play a brand of football like last night.
:D
Whoop whoop
Well done cockney latic – well done Martinez.
More of the same please (interviews that is, not results)
I don’t think I will be too bothered about dropping down a division. Or at least the disapointment would be shortlived. The Wolves away was a reminder about the type of away day experience we’ve been missing.
On another point – this thread is a great example of the way that decent posts get spoilt by morons….then you get the petty arguments. Most people are not that bothered about these squablings. I’m not.
I think he makes a good point.
Although I am frustrated at Martinez and the other club legends on the staff (none who have previous top flight experience by the way), I do think the fans who have been there since the lower league days generally have a greater sense of the ‘bigger picture’.
I was in Nam. None of you guys were there so won’t understand. We had one hell of a game of football with the gooks. No snow though.
Surely the council will have gritted near the railway bridge (behind the brick). It was like March of the Penguins against Blackburrrn RRRRoverrrs.
Not sure. Although it could condemn Burnley it is likely to strengthen the other relegation candidates Bolton. Guess we have to concentrate on ourselves anyway, too early for me to be checking other team’s scores.
Good use of the semi colon by the way. I think standards on this board have slipped. Bring back national service.
Wigan v Norwich in mid 80’s. Seem to remember a certain Steve Bruce playing and a yound scamp from liverpool snatching us the winner.
