The daft thing is, those who slag off those of us who defend the likes of Gomez and Scotland think we defend them because we think they are world-beaters. We know they are nothing of the sort, but as members of the team they will get our support until they are replaced with someone better.
If only the same could apply to supporters.

is anyone like me a touch relieved that once home tonight – the front door can be locked,central heating turned on full and not have to worry about how many pairs of socks to wear in a freezing cold east stand.I am now, but earlier, having planned an afternoon of supping which was replaced by an afternoon entertaining a bored, house-bound 5-year old, I was absolutely gutted.
