This isn’t Subbuteo or FIFA where you lay out players in set formations.
These numbers mean nothing in themselves and they alter through a game. 4-5-1 at times, can mean 4-3-3 when the wingers are pushing up, or 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 when a wing defender moves forward. Things are fluid and so all this pseudo-maths is a bit pointless. Players are given a role not a place on the field to stand.
Well if thats the case what role do half of our lot play??? because I’ve watched us for the best part of 3 seasons and I can’t work it out.
Di Santo up front and in theory Moses as the snd striker, but for me he plays on the wing which is totally pointless in a wing back formation, just takes up the space of Stam.
That’s exactly what the problem is.
Well why did Bob not tell Victor to play as a front 2??? He had 90 mins to get his message across but as usual he stood there with his arms folded the whole game.
I agree Sammy I’m sure MoMo would have been picked if he was 100%.
Don’t blame him do you???
If he’s got any sense with the weather like it is he’ll still be in Barbados B)
I know someone who works in the club and they said that DW hadnt been feeling too well that morning but had improved somewhat as kick off approached but he thought “fuck it I cant be arsed anyway” !
Not feeling to well the weather being terrible and the team being absolute shit, I think he made the right decision ;)
How am I not surprised by that post.
Now the lightsiders discuss tactics and selection “with someone from the club before KO” and they told you “Diame wasn’t starting due to feeling ill that morning” I assume that same person then rushed to tell you Diame “apparently was improving as KO approached” just so you could post it on here if one of those nasty darksiders dared to question why he didnt play.
If you hurry up nominations for this years Whitbread prize are still open.
Blah dee f**ing blah.
You think you know better that the people who run the football club?
I’m sure Martinez sits there prior to kick-of thinking, “I’ll tell you what, Diame’s raring to go but I’ll not play him because everybody expects I should play him so I’ll deliberately piss everybody off and not play him.
Sammy after watching this shit for 3 years I’d say he probably does no more about running a football club than this clueless idiot.
But it will not matter as there is no way were getting out of this mess, so keeping him has cost us £4m and we still go down.
Not a very good plan IMO.

which the club can ill afford
Where do you get that from? Financially we are very sound.
This I know but £4m is a lot of money to a club of our size and would have probably bought us a player or 2 next year.
To be honest I would have cashed in on Hugo rather than let him go for nowt in the summer. We won’t stay up and have lost £4m which the club can ill afford.
Is there any point in keep playing him now? Its not working anyway so why not give his spot to someone who will be with us come August and who knows it may just work.He could have at least just kept quiet, talk about kicking you when your down.
Sorry Nuneaton I don’t agree at all. Hugo told Wigan before the January window he wanted to leave, QPR bid £4m for him and we turned it down so who’s fault is it Hugo is still here???
It’s actually quite refreshing that the club refused the easy option of taking the money without having a replacement lined up beforehand.
Rodallega’s best chance of getting a decent contract anywhere else lies in playing well here for the next 4 months and banging some goals in for a change.
Hopefully it will have the same effect as it had on Charlie, he was outstanding in our final run in.
I have to say I was surprised he didn’t play he has been pick of a bad bunch this season.

I once read in a Scottish newspaper that Haggis is the best tasting food in the world, they also said that Scotch Porridge Oats were good for you, bagpipes sound really nice, and that only real men wear kilts.Fair play goodpost
ok, how about this then.Yes but he is the font of all footballing knowledge, the best young manager in Europe so surely he knows what he’s on about???
Not my view but just some of the rubbish that has been attributed to Bob by our Chairman.
Definately correct then.
Thanks for letting us all know.No problem just glad I could help ;)
