I don’t boo myself, but you can’t expect people who pay their hard earned money every week to clap them off after that shoite.

Sorry Duke but that is were I believe your wrong. With a half decent manager in charge we have enough at this club to stay up.

Duke how could playing 4-4-2 make us more vunerable???? We cannot defend and we can’t score goals using Bob’s master plan so how can trying something different hurt????

Duke the shoite you talk about were 90% signed by Bob. Caldwell is the worst player at the club and our manager gives him the captains arm band. He is absolutely useless and the sooner he fook’s off the better our club will be.

              Why Egg????

United and Chelsea have been doing it for years, Blackburn did it and won the league, Liverpool did it for years. I’m afraid it is football the ones with the most money will buy the best players and be the most successful. Fact!!!

Yes but galacTIC you could see method in PJ’s signings and tactics you knew he was going to turn it round. Bob has had over 2 seasons and we are still no better at playing his style of football than when he first came.

How much longer can people keep backing him when we keep getting beat???

At Newcaslte on Saturday I actually felt I had stepped back in time to a place where our fans actually supported the team.

There might have only been a few hundred but they got behind the team and appreciated the performance, which gave me a lot of hope for the future.

We looked dangerous every time we went forward, a view shared by my Geordie mates. If it hadn’t been for Krul and one bad decision by Hugo we wold have won at a canter. I am also taking into accunt another poor referee who should have shown a red card to Leon Best in the first half for a nasty tackle on Figs.

At the end of the game both fans and players showed their appreciation and this season must turn in our favour soon with performances like that. The players obviously enjoyed the support and with that kind of passion behind them they will continue to improve.

But I expect that a lot of our supporters (not a majority) will be only too happy to cry and boo at the next home match. This does nothing to help what it essentially a very young and talented team. Why would any young player with potential want to stay at Latics?

Bob is doing a sound job and it is only the boo boys who are whining about him sticking to his tactics. A lot of the Geordies I spoke to are envious of our manager and his beliefs. It is difficult to accept that we have lost a lot of matches but it is only a matter of time before results change for the better, imo.

I fear that the darkside will now attempt to hound Bob out of the club with demonstrations and abuse. This makes me sad because I truly love this club and I think we face a real uphill struggle to stay in a league that does not particularly want us. Booing and jeering will not help young players’confidence. We need to stick together and give them support against these teams who have more money and in matches in which the officials clearly afraid to give decisions against the bigger teams.

I support Wigan Athletic. I am proud of Wigan Athletic. We may have suffered six defeats in a row but we certainly have not deserved to lose in those matches and I feel the odds are now stacked against us in many areas.

We are under siege from a lot of people outside this club. Lack of support from inisde the DW is no help whatsoever.

                        Signed Roberto Martinez!!!!

The Chairman may be a problem as there ain’t to many oil rich Billionaires living in Scholes. But the manager wouldn’t be a problem, he has one way of playing and his team can’t play that way.

                          Taxi For Martinez!!!!!

The same keys on my keyboard are worn out as I keep saying the same thing but for me today, yes we played well, yes we deserved something and yes we only lost to a very good goal.

Now for my switch to the darkside – BUT

We don’t score because of the “4-5-1 keep possession tactic”. We only create a few chances and we simply have to take them. We don’t !!

Our goals scored column says it all, yes we may have been unlucky today but unlucky over 9 games – No, we are were we deserve to be.

Perfect example for me was with ten mins to go Moses got behind the defence rolled it across the 6 yard box for a tap in and we had 1 player (Diame) who in reality wasn’t even remotely close to tapping it in. Any other club would have had 2 strikers fighting each other to score.

So as I’ve banged my head against a brick wall saying – this possession footy flatters to deceive, we may look good, may give the impression we’ve played well but in reality your not unlucky all the time ar :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: e you?

I’m so glad I have a decent set of intelligent Latics-supporting mates with whom I can have a sensible real chat about all things Wigan – good and bad – rather than having to deal with a bunch of internet no-marks who seem to actually take great delight when the team is struggling… and appear to have nothing constructive or helpful to add to the debate other than Martinez is a w@nker and Whelan is a c.nt.

Not (only) directed at you Hindley, by the way.

Most of the afore-mentioned mates have long since got fed up of this forum and can’t understand why I still bother. They may well have a point.

And before anybody (it’ll be one of the usual suspects because you are all THAT predictable) whines that I simply slag everyone off that doesn’t agree with me, it’s not about the opinion, it’s about the tone and general attitude of the argument.

I spend a big chunk of my hard earned money every season watching my team. Which under Bob has become less enjoyable every season. So I’m afraid Griff it gives me no pleasure at all in fact it pisses me right off. I want to see us win some football matches and be able to leave the DW with a smile on my face instead of moaning about our managers incompetence.

Much better performance that today, but we have to convert the chances.

If we don’t get 7-10 points out of the next four games to stand a chance as we go into December

7-10 Points out of the next four games

How much more of this shoite do we have to watch.

Refrained from commenting on this until I’d seen the coverage on football first.

Just who do you think you support? Shoite? Yes, it was a disappointing outcome, but we narrowly lost a very tight game to a team that is currently occupying a champions league spot and is still unbeaten.

                                  Disappointing, but hardly “shoite”.[/quote]

Griff we have lost 6 on the bounce and look at the teams we have played at the start of the season. 5 points is an absolute disgrace.

Pluck the positives out of that Bob.
