Irish music = Donk! (my view and opinion, not an actual fact before people start to moan) :P
No , the article backs up my views on the matter.
Pity you didn’t write them down first then, isn’t it? ;)
Yeah, then they could have agreed with you like you, and not the other way round. ;)
Here’s hoping that notts county beat FGR next Tuesday and our match goes ahead as planned on the 23rd. I’ve took a flyer and booked 4 of us into a bnb on radcliffe road next to the cricket ground.
During our rise up the leagues we first stayed there when playing Notts County a couple of times and then later, Forrest a couple of times and had some great nights out in the city. It is some place for those who’ve not been.
Come on County!!

is it a decent night out for the younger generation like myself? I will be staying over, and I am already in Nottingham the week after on the 30th Jan for a weekend out aswell. After Poker at the casino, just wondered if it was a good night?.

How can anyone who’s obviously watched us climb the leagues chose to miss the opportunity to watch us get promoted to the Premier League, I just find that bizzare. Presumably you’ve watched us all over the country and yet you miss the biggest game in our history….I would have crawled the length of the M6 to make that game. Not the only one Abram, Unless it was a life or death situation, there was no way I was missing that.
Caldwell for £1m would be an absolute steal, but as for Lua Lua and Elmander, I wouldnt pay £8 never mind £8m…they are both garbage of the highest order. Not sure about Lua Lua, Wouldn’t mind seeing him come here at all, and that Elmander stuff is garbage talk, why would we py £5m (do we even have that??) for a failed prem striker?

i never boo poor displays or have ever done, but many who
“support Wigan Athletic. If they are playing at home, go. Simple as” do so ;)
True, and I wasn’t aiming my comment at you, specifically. ;)
Anyway, you can hardly boo if you’re not there, can you?
Me, I always go and never boo – that must make me some kind of Superfan, no? :?
holidays, work and trips to ireland fishing(ive not seen the final games of the season for 15 years) are usually the only thing that prevent me going to games, even though i may not be there i have paid my dues with my season ticket and have done for over 20 years,
so when i chose to stay away on purpose for one game it shows how serious i think the problems with wigan athletic are.
Not that serious pal. We’re still playing football in the top flight of English football, not that much of a problem to me, leave behind the scenes to the people behind the scenes, and we should just carry on supporting our club. What good is not turning up in protest going to do? Think Whelan cares that one person being childish and not backing his club for a game bothers his big fat wallet? Nope.
Also because even if Koumas hasn’t delivered, he has still delivered more than Scotland has,
Well, that makes sense, doesn’t it?
I knew there was a reason it was pointless arguing with you.
Please explain, when he is on he gives more to the team than Scotland. You will argue with me about this even if you agree with me because Scotland adds nothing.
Think you mean that you agree with the article, not the article agrees with you.
For once, I agree with you ;)
Unless Zeniamon is really Yoda :?
he might be you never know :D
Me and griff agree on something!! :PWhy?Scotland tries but hasn’t delivered.
Koumas doesn’t try and hasn’t delivered.
We know Koumas has the skill somewhere so I would rather be on the pitch. Also because even if Koumas hasn’t delivered, he has still delivered more than Scotland has, Plus doing what I said would mean we had a goalscorer up front and NOT scotland, and Koumas in the team who has hardly played and still scored more than Scotland.
Have normally been a Tory viter, Think UKIP will get mine this year.
11 January 2010 at 8:07 pm in reply to: Latics attendances given another slant by the Daily Mail #17891Does man-flu, the comment ‘So you’re well enough to go to the football are you?’ and the prospect of actual bodily harm form a valid excuse to attend a game?I haven’t been and couldn’t make it to the Villa game (if it was on) due to swine-flu, so Im gunna say yes…It does :D
He played well in the 1st game vs Aston Villa and cannot remember when he got dropped this season but I dont remember him playing too badly before he got dropped. Also I am assuming that he got dropped to allow Rodallega onto the wing and Scotland up front, I can say right now, hand on my heart, I would rather have Koumas on the wing, Rodallega up front and Scotland on the bench. No matter how lazy you think he is etc etc, that would be better as I would prefer both for Rodders to be up front and Koumas to be in instead of Scotland.
With all the foreign investment ( or not as the case may be ) into premier clubs going pear shaped , even the bigs clubs are on a somewhat unstable footing , we have in Dave Whelan the perfect man for Wigan.Below is part of an article which agrees with me :
“United have won trophies under the Glazers, largely because they keep their hands off and let Alex Ferguson and David Gill get on with running the club.
But it may now be that they do not have the funds available to plug some of the glaring gaps in the squad.
Factor in the terrible problems at clubs like Portsmouth and Notts County, and the pitfalls of foreign ownership become ever clearer.
The sooner we can get back to the days when clubs were owned by local businessmen who genuinely support the team, the better.
We need people who do it out of a sense of pride, and a desire to bring success to their local area, not just those who are looking to bleed the club dry.”
Think you mean that you agree with the article, not the article agrees with you.
11 January 2010 at 7:19 pm in reply to: Latics attendances given another slant by the Daily Mail #17882What do you mean we have to admitt our crowds are bad? In you just compare the numbers to other teams numbers then yes, they are bad, but there are mitigating circumstances around the club which help towards a lot of the reason for this, Other bigger teams etc, and they are reasons that our crowd is like that, not excuses.
Why would it register, EVERYBODY wants to play for wigan and would all half their wages to do so.
