crackers really, but we all know they don’t give two hoots about the fans.
It’s the 5th by the way ;)
I hate playing teams that have a new manager they always seem to but that bit extra in.
I know he’s not in the seat yet but wonder if he turns up to watch them (so to speak)Not quite.
They didn’t refuse to come out, they didn’t turn up at the stadium.I’m glad you knew who the sweaties were…
Surely that is good management on his part Jimmy?
He came here with a Charlton side ravaged by injury and got a point and he very nearly did last night as well.
Why would he come here, open the game up and try to play free flowing football? They’d have got hammered.
What we need to do is find another way to break sides down that do that. Our home form hasn’t been as good as our away form for that reason.
It is to be fair Egg, and I did say last night that he’s getting the better of Cook tactically in the sense he’s managed to frustrate us & go away with a point. That was before we scored by the way.
I’m no manager but I could predict beforehand the likely outcome of this game. So I was hoping we’d have played with two up front from the off.
To be fair to cook jimmy, he timed his subs & his formation change to 2 up top at the right time IMO! I think it was right to stick to our usual set up at first. It was obvious it wasnt working & his gamble paid off.
Good decision too, to bring on devante cole. He impressed me in his brief cameo. He could have been greedy & gone for goal himself, but fair play to the lad for squaring it to grigg. He was actually a tad unlucky not to get a goal himself at the end.
He did time it well Runcorn, and I’m not being critical by the way, just saying. Although it would have been nice if he’d not kept us waiting for so long. My nails are shot at.
Cooks formation / tactics have obviously been the best of the lot so far this season.
Cole did really well and he showed composure to square that ball. I’d like to see him more.Surely that is good management on his part Jimmy? He came here with a Charlton side ravaged by injury and got a point and he very nearly did last night as well.

Watching him last night and he kept gesturing to his team to slow things down… Gobsh !te.Morsy is so good at keeping hold of the ball & not losing it. Even when he receives a bad pass he keeps the ball & invariably lays a good pass off.
Can I ask if you are able, to please sponsor me for the walk to Fleetwood. We are trying to raise £10k for the cause and we need around £2k more, so if you can please click the link, every £1, £5, £10 and £20 counts. Many thanks

https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/jasontaylor1That is a massive walk, hope you’ve got some good trainers. What time you setting off out of curiosity..
Such a worthy cause well done to all involved, brilliant.
Credit to Rotherham they had a decent game plan and a lot came down the left early on so think Warne did his homework. They were a bit physical though and plenty of shirt pulling going on. Lad at the back for them No.20 and the big one up front had good games.
Think it was around 70th minute before we had a decent shot on target. Still be playing now and it would be 0-0.
I’m not sure Elder is Championship quality so for me I’d play James.
Let’s hope Tuesday sees us go 3 clear of Blackburn.
Doncaster will be a nothing game.
We will already have got the trophy at the Wimbledon game, and the boss will be able to give the likes of Jones, Bruce, Perkins and Walker a start.
Bollocks to that.
If winning at Doncaster means we end up champions I’m sure Cook will turn out a full strength team and those players who have been instrumental in getting us promoted will want to be part of that.I’m also certain Cook will take a far more professional view of the game than Caldwell did over our final 4-1 home defeat against Barnsley the last time we got promoted.
I’m sure he & the club will to Sammy.
Still annoys me that Barnsley game left before they paraded the trophy to the supporters it took that long for the players to stop taking family snaps and putting the tshirts on..That’s part of the problem for me. Jacobs goes down far too easy.I think you could be right, the way Jacobs goes down is cringe worthy at times.
That’s because out players are too quick to catch..
I can’t really recall any obvious decisions going against us though?
I can recall plenty of failed attempts to win a pen by Jacobs…I don’t get to too many games these days but at the last game i went to we had a nailed on one turned down against Portsmouth the other week for handball in the 1st half from a Powell free kick.
There was also an appeal from Jacobs in the same half when someone breathed near himOn the flip side, Pompey were awarded a penalty when their mon realised he’d lost the ball & deliberately stuck his leg out to catch Burn when he’d gone past him
I knew one would come up when I typed that TL. Fair shout that Pompey one.
totally agree about the one Pompey got, was never a pen.How do we know 1100 tickets were snapped up by day trippers having their first away day? Surely they would have been at Oldham Bury Blackpool or Rochdale as a first away trip prior to this one.
Like it’s said Highbury is a non league stadium with a tiny capacity and that’s the problem.
However some sort of token system should be in place for high demand games. Thing is there aren’t that many really.Who said anything about all 1,100 being sold to day trippers?
It’s local, by the seaside, a short tram ride from Blackpool centre & we’re nearly up. That makes it more attractive than Bury or Oldham donny and there will have been people who haven’t been away this season who fancied this one, just like Blackpool last time.
Hopefully they didn’t get a ticket but it adds to the rush. That’s because out players are too quick to catch..

I can recall plenty of failed attempts to win a pen by Jacobs…Ticket office were slower than slow this morning. Only two serving!!
But when all said & done it ain’t the clubs fault we only got 1100 tickets. It’s all the day trippers jumping on the bandwagon and having their first away day that’s the biggest problem.
