Believe Wolves want too much for Evans?
Heard a rumour that Colclough hurt himself after a night out & Cook wasn’t impressed? Don’t know if that’s true or how they’d know this but something isn’t right with the Colclough.
It was a strange incident as Toney just went down and there didn’t look like anything untoward, I thought he must have slipped?
Heard someone say he got a push in the back but I didn’t see that. Will have to see on highlights later.
Both looked fine, Perkins came on for Powell so assumed Cook was looking to shore up midfield as Bournemouth we much better in second half.
No idea why Grigg came off, was surprised at that one.Never gave flying a thought, interested to know how much that was.
Driving ain’t too bad, just under 4hrs.Don’t think you will be too far away RPM with your figures. Unless we sell Powell for a few million.
Worrying really & that’s why Whelan is selling up, doesn’t want to burden his family with a football club.
Could be some interesting years ahead of us?All the best to you two too…
first half of 2018 will be good for sure, let’s hope the latter is joyous as well.bet you are glad you don’t play us every week.2 games played, zero points zero goals…most teams you have played this season have piss poor squads but as you have found out we do not have a piss poor squad.your goal difference at the moment is impressive at the moment but will count for jack shit if you don’t keep winning.2 draws no goals in last 2 games.are you starting 2 feel the pressure??..good luck 2morow at Rotherham (not) and remember little shitty shrewsbury are breathing down your necks..lose tomorrow and you could be 2nd..can you handle the pressure ??Jimmy c, i have to agree with you. As frustrated as what i (& from the sound of things a few others) have been these past 2 games, the booing that i heard at the end of last nights game for a team that might i remind people is TOP OF THE LEAGUE, is despicable & embarrassing.Jesus himself only knows what would have happened had we lost both games.
I was too Runcorn and said to the lad next to me after 10 mins that this isn’t going to be a good game to watch.
For sure we struggle to break teams down at home and I’ve criticised our tac tics at times and would love to see a plan B. We saw a change in approach late on which nearly worked. Let’s hope cook recognises the need for this and makes changes early on in games to break this negative approach by the opposition up.
Please …a striker with prescence …a nippy winger ….and Colclough starting.Oh and substitutions before last 5 mins
Their number 18 tonight put Grigg and Toney to shame. Was nippy and tricky as hell, in a young Jermain Defoe kind of way. He very nearly did us, late on.
Because he got behind us once? Oh aye. Put em to shame. Couple of draws and the toys come out the pram. Pathetic our fans. Even heard boos tonight at final whistle. Cook must wonder why he bothers. Best start go a season perhaps in our history and the lads get booed for struggling to break down a couple of teams who have parked the bus.
At last a post with sense….
cannot believe what I’m reading here it ain’t cooks fault if other managers game plan is not to lose. City could only score one against a poor Newcastle team and were their fans wanting pep out…. ffs..
and the booing at the end… embarrassing!Well I was right about the 2nd gear bit I guess! Charlton were woeful in my opinion and they seemed to drag us down to their level!Think you’re right there fil and Wigan looked frustrated around the hour mark. Change of tac tics for once and we hit it long but their centre backs we’re big and did well to be fair.
If that’s the best idea Robinson has got for playing a top team in this league then I doubt he’ll go any higher, shocking.Referee for Charlton has been announced, looks a bit card happy! Let’s hope he doesn’t ruin the game.

They will probably try do exactly what Shrewsbury did and park the bus try to frustrate us and play on the break.
An early goal for us hopefully and send them into panic mode! You could be right but if that isn’t their normal style of play then they won’t be as good at it as Shrewsbury were. The style of footy we saw from Shrewsbury is normal for them, and they are pretty good at it.
Karl Robinson said after the game when we beat them at their place “he’s worked us out & couldn’t wait to play us again as he knows how to beat us”!! or words to that affect. Should we be worried? Or has he made himself look silly..
They’re not the best on the road & are certainly on a bad run of form, not won in last six. So we should beat these men, don’t like predicting cos I never get it right but will go 3 – 0..
Wonder if we get close to the 10k home fans again for this match.
Spot on them comments donny, glad we don’t play them every week. There was only one team trying to win that game and gutted we couldn’t score as they deserved nothing IMO.
Tony came so close, thought he should have at least hit the target. As for the ref, thought he was crap. Lots of persistent petty fouling from Shrewsbury that went unpunished.
Hopefully Charlton will come and have a go and make a better game for the fans.
Tough game today, Shrewsbury work hard and close down which will disrupt our rhythm. We need our midfielders to have their shooting boots on and go for goal outside the box rather than trying to play through them. Shrewsbury snuffed eveything out last time. We have been playing really well of late but difficult to call this one. We just might win 2 – 1
