When the time comes, and hopefully that will not be soon, I am sure there will be a statue outside the stadium.
Tazdevil is right. Would be nice for the town to recognise whelan sooner rather than later though.
Lucky lucky QPR can’t believe itSpot on Vince, they rode their luck again did QPR and did to Derby what they did yo us. Defend and counter, hope they get relegated again next season.
Now there lies a future pub question? A bit more history that little Wigan have
Edit, that should have read, pub quiz question….

Tevez’s attitude is probably the reason he ain’t got into the squad and not that Di Santo is the better player!
Di Santo has scored a massive 4 goals this season, for a team that just avoided relegation.
Tevez managed a mere 19 goals for a team that won their league… Let’s hope the Argies regret this decision :)
Unbelievable really that because it looked like a nothing kind of challenge? Or was that me with my blue glasses on again??
Plays well and then lunges in giving away a penalty.
Don’t really think he lunged in to be fair. Junior Toilet cleverly slipped the ball past Caldwell and made a meal of the tackle ( only a little less exaggerated than James McClean ). He knew exactly what he was doing and timed it to perfection !
My first reaction for Caldwells tackle was to cringe. He was slow & late, he should have known better than to go in like that. Agree with you on Hoilett, he knew exactly what he was doing, but he knew what was coming so made the most of it…
Our formation looked different throughout the game for me? 451, 433 and even 442???.
New it would be a tight game because QPR are very predictable, fe kin ten men behind the ball and tried to catch us on the break…. Boring boring QPR. It’s hard to break down teams that play like that, we have always struggled so suppose Harry did his homework.
They were scared of Callum but we didn’t use him enough, Dunne was their weak link and we didn’t try him nowhere near enough.Fortune is generally poor all round. He can’t control or hold the ball up let alone score.
What a load of tosh this idea is. Do they really think this will sort the problem of a lack of English quality?
And what will happen with cup draws etc? Who will support these teams also? Why don’t they just bring in an English quota of players rule for all clubs..
Uwe has done everything we could have asked of him, given the wreckage he inherited from Coyle.
I expect to see him managing in the Premier Lge next season…let’s hope it’s with us.
Let’s secure 5th place on Saturday and play QPR over 2 legs. I reckon we’ve more chance against Derby in 1 game than 2.
To have missed out on the play offs at this stage would have been dreadful and I’m not sure the club would have recovered from it .
we now move into our 5th attempt at winning in the play offs ( 1987, 1999,2000 and 2001) and we didn’t win any so just maybe we are going to be lucky the fifth time of asking!
Wembley ain’t been the best of places for Uwe so if we do get there let’s hope it’s 3rd time lucky for him as well..
Proceeds from play-off ticket sales are divided between the Football League and the competing clubs. The league take a 50% cut with the four clubs divvying-up the other half of the pot.
Prices cannot be increased for the play-offs but the option is there to decrease if agreement can be reached with the team you play.

Surprised at the amount the football league take. 50% seems a bit excessive?
Bought tickets today for this game and was told the same about lower tier only. Was curious how many this held and found the below.
Away Fans
Approximately 4,000 visiting supporters can be catered for and they’re housed in the Darwen End of the ground. How much of this stand is allocated to visitors depends on the likely size of the following. Where the demand is less than around 2000 seats, the lower tier to the right of the goal (as viewed from the pitch) is normally used. If more away supporters are expected, the upper tier is used and, for the biggest followings (and sometimes on security advice), the whole of the stand will be given over to visiting supporters. The views from anywhere in the stand are very good. The price of success ah….
Ok, maybe I might reconsider…..
Thanks fellas
