Some folk are beyond clueless. Our midfield lacked composure all afternoon. Mccann, Macarthur and Maclean all blazed over or made the wrong decision when in the final third. Still. Lets find a way of attacking a lad who played for 8 minutes, worked his stones off and made some decent passes. Unbelievable.
You are obviously a Roger lover then, your comment above is correct but would you say that Roger was/is a game changer? Roger is not the type of player that can correct the issue you raise (IMO). He runs around a lot but shows no composure. That is not an attack on him but more an observation.
I can’t recall the decent passes you mention but can recall three not so good instances he was involved in. True…I hope he proves me wrong JR. Didn’t see Maribor so can’t comment, but he played a few games under Bob and his performances all seem to be the same. That said, thought he played well in the cup final, probably his best so far for me.
Suppose drawing with Burnley isn’t as bad as it feels. They were a well orgainized side that were hard to break down. That said, i can only see them going in one direction, and that is south. How bad was their crossing & shooting today.
Probably just as bad as our free headers and shots at goal. :(
We were not good in front of goal today for sure. Couple of chances straight at their keeper, we just don’t seem to have anyone with an eye for a goal in the team. Lets hope Uwe sorts it out in the January window. If he does then we don’t have much to fear in this league as from what i have seen so far (at home anyway) no team has shown much quality. This will sound odd but, probably Bolton have been the best team at our place this season?
Well, old Roger eventually got on the field of play today if not only for a short while. Got to say he played as i expected, with no composure!
Couldn’t work out if the applause for Gomez going off was genuine or because he was actually being taken off? Would rather have Gomez on the field over Roger, regardless of what most people think of him, he can pick out some pretty decent passes every now and again.Just out of curiosity, did anybody else notice today that when Nick Powell jumps for a header he does so about 5 seconds too early. Not his strong point!

It has been a bit quiet recently. Presumably we haven’t recovered from watching that referee on Thursday! That official made Jon Moss look half decent (well nearly…)
The corner taken from the wrong side
The foul on their keeper…erm by their defender
Lost count of the others…At least he got the sending off right.
Bring back Dowd
That foul on their keeper decision, really did sum the referee’s game up, totally rubbish… This league really does seem to have a very poor standard of refs. Makes the prem look pretty good actually.
No.He couldn’t…..

Could he? :)
:) brilliant
To coin a phrase, history will show bob as a legend! He will be the only wigan manager to win the fa cup (in my time anyway).
I was not a lover of his footy as for the majority, it was boring. But I will always smile when his name gets mentioned…It has been great this year to shut up all the plastic mancs and liverpool fans in our office pointing out who won the fa cup this year :)
Only the play off’s, automatic if uwe carries on at this rate :)
Easy Tiger, one goose step at a time! ;)
Not meaning to digress, I Just got a good feeling about uwe. Like the way he manages the team from the touch line. But then again if Powell is recalled back to mufc that could be the difference between play offs and auto.
Only two more sleeps!
Roberto gave him a decent run in the side and he didn’t show much quality IMO. Easier for a manager not to play someone they have not bought.
Two managers can’t be wrong. Old roger is just not up to it for me, he’s rubbish.

All the very best to every wigan fan
We spent big when we bought Holt.I’m sure Rosler will give the team a structure rather than leave the players to their own devices.
Today we had more structure than we have shown all season. First game I have seen under uwe but am pretty confident we have a great young manager here?
Barking orders from his tech box all match. How loud is his whistle by the way!He was brilliant today, maybe coyle didn’t know how to bring the best out of him. Long May it continue.
