You must have read it wrong Runcorn. Apparently all Everton fans are pleased with what Roberto is doing at Goodison.

What a journey!Have parted company with Dougie Freedman.Just shows how cut throat football is. Even when you’re doing a good job you can get the sack.
Good Job?????? :woohoo:
I’ll give you my workmates phone number and ask him if he thinks he was he doing a good job.
Apparently at last weeks game at home to Derby, 2 fans entered the field from behind the goals in the home end, casually walked over to the Bolton bench and threw their season tickets at Dooooooogie. Not once did a steward or copper intervene. They re-entered the field of play again and casually walked over towards whence they come, it was only when they got to the keeper that he decided to have a go at um and then some coppers and stewards thought theyd better get on and duly piked um off down the side exit.
About 30 seconds later one of the blokes, who were both middle aged not kids, ran back on the field and tear arsed across to the adjacent stand. My mate said it was so funny, the fact that they strolled about and were not challenged.
Dooooogie won’t be the first and wont be the last manager to get potted this season, are you listening Mr Ardpoo!! :P

What a journey! How funny it is to read that Holt gets rave reviews for doing exactly what he did for us in two the two games he’s played for Hudds, namely score diddly squat! Then on the other hand Delort is slated for scoring the same diddly squat in his first 4 or 5 games in English football. I’ll stick my neck out and predict that Delort will score more goals than Holt this season. Some players take time to settle in their new teams and even more so in new country’s. Unless you can afford a DeCosta or a Suarez you will be lucky to get a young 22 year old player firing after just a few games.

What a journey! Now I don’t know at all what the craic is with Espinoza, but you have to consider that now three managers, Martinez, Coyle and Rosler, have ALL basically sidelined him.
If it was just one you could consider to be a failing by one manager to see a good player – but three seems to indicate to me there is something in his attitude, his training, his relations with other players, or whatever, something that makes managers keep him out of the team.
I don’t think there is any hidden agenda here GL, he’s just not very good, except at running his socks off which seems to be justification enough for some on here to insist he should start every game.
Do you mean in your opinion he’s not very good? the reason I say that is because I and many others, think he’s not a bad player. Don’t forget he has never been given a long run in the team and when he has been called upon, it’s been for various different roles.
Yes he does do a lot of running around trying to impose himself in the game, but he can tackle, score long range goals, remember his screamer against MK Dons in the cup, he gives 100% when he is called upon which the team needs at the moment, last night excluded.I really think its unfair to put this player down for the impact he’s made when called upon.
Having said that I have always been a Jordie Gomez fan, so what do I know. :woohoo:
The default position is that unless otherwise stated everything I post on here is my own opinion.
As for Espinoza he is often reckless in the tackle so I wouldn’t say he was particularly skilled at that. He has been known to score the odd long range goal but I wouldn’t think that alone would be enough to justify his place in the team. Putting in 100% effort should be expected from every player so again I don’t think this singles him out above others who do the same.
And I’m not putting the player down. I’m having pop at those on here who, just because he runs around a lot, think he should be an automatic choice. There are better players at the club who can do the role he is supposed to be good at, in my opinion of course.
I wasn’t trying to put an case for him being in the team, I was just stating that there was no need [ in my opinion] to make him sound useless.
As for players giving 100%, have you watched Wigan play in all the games since the Blackburn game up to last night?

What a journey! This might surprise a few people who have posted on this thread…….we played 4-3-3! ;)

What a journey!Roger is hardly a world beater but he is just another alternative as a left sided player at left back.
But we already have two left backs, both helpfully called Taylor. Why would you pick someone who isn’t a left back by trade (and not very good to boot, imo) when we have just signed two proper ones?
Didn’t Espinoza play left back in the cup final against city? He was outstanding like the rest of the team on that world stage. B)
Why try and get a cheap pun in at Roger’s expense?.

What a journey!I think the biggest mistake that Rosler has made, was changing the team that beat Blackpool and Birmingham. OK McCarthur had gone so it just needed one “forced” change.
Riera just seemed to be finding some form and there was some balance to the team and also ample scoring opportunities, 4 of which were nicely dispatched in the Brummy net.He then starts to mess around with the team, formation the lot and since that Brum game, its been almost back to pre season stuff, chop, change, try this, try that.
Delort should have spent some time on the bench watching how the game is played in England, instead he’s thrown straight into the team, upsetting Riera who must have thought he’d done enough to earn a longer run in the team.Having a big squad has both its advantages and disadvantages, players are obviously going to be left out, but will be needed when the time is right, injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc.
Burnley got promoted last year by keeping the same team and formation, it was only injuries and suspensions that forced Dyche to meddle with the team.In my opinion, Rosler has undone all his good work from last season, it doesn’t need any rumours to convince me that the team has lost its spark. I’ve seen it for myself in the last 4 games and so has every other fan.
The good thing is, there is still plenty time to turn this thing around. I think Whelan should not knee jerk yet, yes let Rosler know that he needs to get things sorted, but give him chance to do it, with Black and Barrow’s help.
We have at least two players in every position, so no need to play Perch on the left hand side, play Waghorn on the wing or move Andy Delort to midfield in order to accommodate another forward.
This game is far more simpler that its being made to look, especially with the quality of players we have.Rosler needs to ring fence is starting 11 and formation, stick to it and only make changes if players get suspended, injured or lose their form. Its ridiculously too early to start squad rotation, we have not played 10 bleedin league games yet.

What a journey!Oh my god I wish you would all get from up this Griff guys
arse.I look for information on Wigans fortunes on this site every now and then and I wish I’d not bothered. Griff you want to stop believing your own press your a fan, just like the rest of us! If you want to have a go at my punctuation or spelling- which I’m sure puts you one up on me then that’s fine with me. You all want to get back to supporting our club through thick and thin , you all need to remember our history and where we’ve come from. If we end up back in the old fourth division so be it I will still be behind the lads.
Get back to debating our club and the ups and downs in our fortunes not kissing this blokes arse he must be very special whoever he is… If I ever see him I’m sure he will be walking with people throwing rose petals in front of him and I will make sure I bow down in homage….. Saddos!

What a journey!12500 for a football game at the DW – is that a half full or half empty stadium?
and when the boots on the other foot….
12500 for a rugby game at the DW – is that a half full or half empty stadium?
12800 for a football league game is a stadium more than half full.
8000 for a RL play off elimination match is a stadium more than two thirds empty.
What a journey! There has been a lot said about the team being the ‘strongest on paper’, ‘best in this division’ etc and the managers failure to realise a plan A (or B ). However, I think that the problem could be in his man management technique. We do have a lot of talented players at our disposal and there have been those on here who have offered insightful options for who and how we play those players, but, is Rosler the man to make those tough team selections? Is he rotating the squad because he fears some of the player reactions (trying to be friends instead of a boss)? To be honest I am surprised Mr Whelan has not been into the dressing room to have a “quiet word” with his playing staff as there would be no love lost there and they would know exactly where they stood.
Yes we were outplayed last night, bullied and sometimes tactically inept in parts but I tend to agree with those who put the responsibility on Rosler – there were times when I actually questioned whether the players had trained together (especially when Malloney and Delort went to kick the same ball, and no it was not just a language barrier).
Rosler needs to have a sign printed for the training ground “No More Mr Nice Guy”
I thought that until I saw this….

What a journey!I watched the game and the Everton defence was all over the place. They now have the worst defensive record in the prem, I bet Martinez will not get his ipad out to show BK how he’s managed that. :woohoo:
Some positives though, they won the majority possession and most passes accolade, that will have pleased Bobby no end. :lol:A bit of light hearted fun to get us ready for the serious stuff tomorrow. :P

What a journey! Why is it tongue in cheek? It is a concern for me that we are no better than this time last year!I’m not concerned, as we have more than done enough to win each game. :cheer:
As for being no better than last year, compare the same fixtures [obviously can’t count cardiff] and we are 3 points better off. B)
If you want to count one of the games against a relegated team we played last year then it would be QPR and we lost that away.
Calm yourself down, enjoy the free weekend and start worrying if we are languishing in 16th place after about 15 games.
