I always thought the world cup venues were rotated by northern and southern hemispheres. So would we be able to stand in for a southern hemisphere country? :?

Sorry to come on here being all negative, but where are the Fans? Really gets me down seeing the attendance as it was today. The lads showed passion today and I thought we deserved to take the 3 points.

        If you didn’t go, Why?

        Pub…….. ;) [/quote]

If you went to the pub to watch it fair enough, but no comment on the game?

Cut out the I quoted, you quoted bollux, you insinuated that we were the better team in two games thus perhaps deserving the full 3 points in each.

I bet you’re one of those fans that start moaning 3 mins into a game. Did you sort out your “martinez out” banner by the way?

I’ve also got a book for you to read. It’s by Moana Lott and called:-

“Some lads want to down ale on a Saturday, I just want to down a manager”

If you want a bet on Wigan to go down I’ll give you 3 to 1, but you have to put a minimum of £20 on.

I’ll PM you my seat number and if you’re in the west stand we can meet up on Saturday to shake hands on it.
Just stop this constant moaning its giving me, the dog, the gold fish, my mistress, the postman and the England 2018 world cup bid team an headache FFS.

Now just think if we had got the 6 points from the 2 games, even you admit we should have won, then we would be in a league position that everyone, including you, would be satisfied with at the end of the season. [14th]

However, you would probably still be moaning that the fekin pies are too hot or the stewards coats are too bright.

It just so happens that I feel we should be about 7-8 points better off for the performances this season.[IMHO]
Its all about consistency now, not formations, tactics etc.
We have shown this season that we can compete with and beat the best, we have also shown, too often that when we are bad, we are really, really bad.

I for one will continue to believe that the consistency will come and that Bobby will get there. If you and others don’t then that’s your opinion. It’s a Wigan Athletic passion thing with me that’s been there since non-league days and will still be with me when Bobby’s moved to better things or been forced out. I love my team not the manger or players, they come and go like the white stuff falling outside.

When we win or play well I don’t come on trying to say that you’re wrong and Bobby is the bees knees, I suggest you to do the same when we lose and play bad. That’s football sunshine, live with it or go and watch crown green bowling or summut.

LMB wrote; I was laughed at 18 months ago when i claimed his style of play would not work, and i will repeat now what i said then, “the better, richer, top teams will out football you and the lesser teams will out muscle us, or hoof us off the park and martinez has not modified his tactics to adapt to this reality and it seems he never will.
hence my question if he thinks it was acceptable to play this way despite it clearly not working.

And you may be laughed at even more after 2 years, if we finish 15th or above this season.
You go missing when we win or play well, you moan your fekin yed off, post after post, when we lose or play bad.
As I’ve said before, give it a rest FFS, we know what your opinion is, you don’t have to force it down people’s throats.
No matter how much you go on, it won’t change the feelings of the true fans. I’m not happy with our current position, our play warrants / deserves better results but its just not happening. Getting rid of Bobby won’t mean things will get better. We are who we are, if you think any manager including the likes of SAF and Jose Murhino, will automatically take us to the dizzy heights of Europe, then your a bigger buffoon than me and most other people on here already think you are. :o ;)

Only positive from today. Once and for all proven that this manger hasn’t a clue. People keep saying there are 3 worse teams than us. Who are they?

Wolves, West ham, Birmingham, blackpool and on todays evidence, Blackburn appear worse than us. At least we kept Man Udown to 2 with 9 men.
                Next question?

I remember watching Aspull a while back thinking, the standard of football was crap, it was much better when I was playing in the ammy league against teams like Wigan Youth, Bethel, Ince Parish etc. Then again, was it really?

Your faded memories always seem to pick out the best bits, and even the shyte times don’t seem that bad. In fact I boast about the time I went watching the tics against Newport county on a Tuesday night with 20 odd others on a coach. Crap game, crap journey, got back at 2am and was on 6-2, but hey them were the good times.

I’ve done the lot watching tics, but whether its an age thing or not, go back to them days WIF!! :o

                    Don’t forget all this can only happen in January and we are still in November. I think there will be two key factors in the decision of whether CK stays or goes;

                    1) We manage to secure Ali either on a permanent deal or at least guaranteed to the end of season.[he does have a recall clause in his loan deal]

                    2) We also get a replacement goalie either loan or permanent, who is a decent keeper, but will be satisfied by bench warming for a bit. There are many decent keepers in the championship that fit this bill.

The goal on Saturday came out of a baggie set piece if you remember.
Graeme Jones shouted to Zog to get back behind the ball then suddenly when we all started shouting ger him up, he suddenly waved him forward. The ball came straight out to Zog and the rest is history. :o ;) :P

’but he deserves credit for the progress that has been made this season’

Last season we had 14 points fron the opening 13 games. This season we have 14 points from the opening 13 games. I’d hardly call that progress.

After 14 games we had 17 points, so lets see how much more progress is made next Saturday.

You’d better check the results against teams mate rather than games played. Just remind me how many points we got from OT last season?

The Carling Cup game at Arsenal has taken on extra significance in my view.
What player would want to leave a club who are in the semi final of a major trophy. Beat Arsenal, I know its a long shot, but beat Arsenal and we might just keep hold of the likes of zog, the bird man and Hugo in January.

Win the dam thing and we might even keep them next season. :o
