Very fair summary Martin. Everything you said has contributed, some more than others maybe but who really knows in the end.
I would add Home form. Just not good enough. Talking to my mate before the Villa game and we were saying with 5 away wins you would expect to have maybe 8 home wins which would leave us very comfortable mid table.
Why are we so bad at home? Is it the pitch? The rows of empty seats…? The negative tactics of Yootha?
Pre bought season tickets for next year ?, Simple, £200 west stand and all cup home games free otherwise I’m not bothering. You owe us for the last 2 out the last ś3 seasons which have been the worse run in this club’s history. And as for the West stand been the premier stand ? Please explain as it looks just as shite from my seat
We get a nice view of the scorebored to remind us we’re losing
What’s needed is to sign Jesus Seba
Sorry that should of read “sign Jesus” divine intervention is our only hope.
We haven’t a hope in hell.
Re-sign Moses to lead us to the Promised Land.
The way things are going the place we’re heading for is the National League
Dreading Saturday after tonight.
Why? We are all but down now man! Some idiot will pop up and say something like “But we could win our last 6 games” It’s laughable, it really is!
Well we could in theory…but football is played on grass :S
I’ve tried to stay optimistic (or daft) as long as possible. Even I now admit it’s over.
Taking the positives from tonight…next season’s trip to Southend and meet up with a few old work mates :woohoo:
As League 1 is sadly all but confirmed, the new manager whoever they are will need to be a CostCutter
That’s the Bestway.
New manager will need to shop at Whelan’s Discount Stores :woohoo:

How do these tickets work? (Not that I will be partaking…ST for me…)
Do you get the same seat and have to notify the club say 72 hours before a game whether you will be attending?
That was the most amazing escape in the history of the Premier League.
It’s what happens when a manager relaxes his stubborn ways and just goes for it and by hell we did go for it. Amazing.Even sweeter it all started by winning at Horwich :woohoo:
Tonight’s game is the kind of game we’ve managed to win this season eg Birmingham, Wolves, Huddersfield..
The way it’s been this season though would not be in the least bit surprised if we won 2 or 3 zip tonight then lost to Rotherham by a similar score..that would sum this season up
Anyway, up the Tics. We’re not done in yet (maybe about 9.55 tonight)
Tonight really is the last chance.
Win tonight then beat Rotherham we are right back in it potentially…need help from PNE tonight beating Bristol and Reading beating Forest.
On the other hand we lose and Bristol/Forest win the safety gap goes to minimum 10 points/aka 4 games it really is over.
Nervous night ahead
Love your optimism but then the realism kicks in.
We will fight to the end.
The reality is we have to. I fear for the club if/when we go down.
As Theresa would say, Relagation means Relegation. I fear where the club will be in 5 years time. I fear we will implode. :S
If people turn their back on the club, as some on here have said they will, it will be tough. But if those football snobs grow a pair and decide that League One isn’t beneath them we should be OK.
I will be there next season…being a fan means being there whatever the division. I just fear what division that will be in 5 years time

We need get something from Ipswich and beat Rotherham. Big 7 days comin up.That overused phrase springs to mind…Ipswich is a MUST WIN game. The gap to safety is still 7 points but we have to close it asap.
Nick a win at Ipswich and beat Rotherham we should be right back in the mix.
We are Wigan. Never give in, never give up, never listen to the critics who write us off.
Never give in, never give up.
That’s what Barrow has to instill into the chaps tomorrow.
We’re not relegated (yet…)
The 3 teams on 41 are all fighting with Blackburn to avoid being 22nd. One of them could lose their nerve and lose 7 out of 8 or worse ;)
Football’s a funny game…If and it’s a giant IFFF, we can avoid defeat tomorrow, then nick a last minute winner at Ipswich, then beat Rotherham..well the panic will set in at Forest, Burton etc.
On the other hand….I’ll get back to my rather smooth glass of Dalwhinnie I bought in Glasgow on Monday :woohoo: :woohoo:
Just trying to stay positive chaps, hard as it is.
Reality is we’re unlikley to get to 41 points on current form, let alone 50.
His favorite operetta
DIE FLEDERMOSS.
That’s written by Strauss.
I keep confusing him with Wolfgang Amadeus Mossart.
He used to be England captain didn’t he? A man of many talents
I can’t remember Wolfgang Amadeus playing for England never mind being Captain.
You’re taking the Andrew now Horc :woohoo:
